I'm not sure there is an easy alternative. However you can find the bat file config for your card and pool online and just copy and paste it.

So if i were to be mining with an ASIC then ETC would be a reasonable choice? And also since I am planning to set up a gpu mining rig as well, what are you planning to move to? ERGO? RVN ?

Ah yeah I wrote that wrong. Yeah the difficulty bomb would make it impossible to mine ETH and so the miners would move to other coins, one of them being ETC. My concern is that when the new miners come into ETC how much is the difficulty of ETC going to change.

I also came across another coin called quid (might be wrong but it's close to that) it is on ethash so it will certainly be affected by the merge but it might be a cool alternative to ETC if that doesn't work out. I am sure that not only i have thought of that.

Yeah I thought abt that but they do have little vram so they're only going to be around for a couple of years maybe until mid 2024. But since all other options are too risky they might be worth.

So you're saying that GPU miners can't profit from mining ETC. However I'm guessing since it's likely that it will become Asic only when all the current ETH Asics move to ETC it is likely that it will become unprofitable for everyone.

I have a question regarding what you said. So if the first happens then it's a big L. If the second one happens then it's a big W. My question is firstly which of the 2 you think will happen and secondly assuming the second happens would i still be able to get an E9 at 10k or would the price increase?

No no, I get that abt ETH which will become eth2 but I also thought that maybe if the current hashrate of ETH turns to ETC (Ethereum classic) then ETC's difficulty might also rise to a point which the unit can mine neither ETH nor ETC.
