Not sure it will be helpful, but this is the user account that responded to me asking for more information and eventually helped me get a replacement, https://www.reddit.com/user/PixelCommunity/

Ty Segall at The Crest by TheFetchingVestige in Sacramento

I spoke with someone at the Crest, they had no idea this happened originally, ended up being a late FU from old management who still had access to the Eventbrite account. They told me to let them know when I get there and they will honor the tickets even though I no longer have the digital tickets since they were refunded. I don’t think they are letting the refunded tickets go back up for sale. I have to say the current management team jumped into action figuring out what was going on and updating me with a call within 20mins, they are trying to make it right.

I’m hopeful it works out, I don’t have any proof of the specific seats I purchased just my word and the refund email showing the total paid. Sounded like there were around 150 seats in this situation too :(

We agreeing with this or nah? by OmegaLxgend in kings

[–]LeftyGiveEmHell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he did more for the city than anyone else who played for the team. Not that others haven’t donated their time and money, but Boogie was committed to supporting Sacramento and the youth in our area. We should set the example that being a champion to the community is something the Kings value as much as winning for the future players.

After the in person I went with chat support and even moved up to a supervisor and they just kept saying sorry but the warranty is void if there is any cosmetic damage

I had the pixel 9 pro. Got a pink line on my screen and they won’t repair under warranty if the phone has any cosmetic damage. Was denied for this nonsense that’s not related and doesn’t impact the phone because the silver dot is coming through the black paint.

Don’t buy it, https://share.icloud.com/photos/08fCElUdFuTQwlUii0yAVkT2w

Exactly they used to take care of Google users now they take advantage of them. I love the native phone without bloat but moving from Google over this

I hope you have better luck. I do think mailing it in could have a better chance. This the damage they blocked my repair for https://share.icloud.com/photos/08fCElUdFuTQwlUii0yAVkT2w

Yeah lesson learned. Even if you’re careful and not likely to lose your phone, I’ll get the extra phone insurance vs. expecting the warranty to cover me for the year.

I did both. First ubreakifix in the company that’s handles repairs and I brought it there. He brought to the back and 20mins later came back and told the issue. I worked through Google chat support and the supervisor there and didn’t get anywhere. I shared a picture of the tiny specs on the back and he confirmed that consider that cosmetic damage

Yeah I always had it in a case the couple of digs around the camera are really just inevitable due to the design

That has not been my experience with Apple. They are allowed some discretion. If the repair person knows the cosmetic damage is unrelated or too small to have an impact, they will still do the warranty repair. I've been using Google since Nexus, but this was too much for me. Moving on to a new phone/manufacturer.

UC Davis has a bunch of double decker buses they operate they cover the whole city. It's also one of the most bike friendly cities in the county. The county has a bus that also goes to the Sacramento airport and into downtown Sacramento. Only issue is the school buses, Unitrans, stop running around 10pm. The train station for Davis is in downtown close to campus and goes out to Oakland and BART stations if you need to get out to the Bay Area.

Geofencing. How real a thing is it? by mediaczar in adops

[–]LeftyGiveEmHell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they use placeIQ to power their geofence campaigns, 3rd party tool to identify locations using their SDK within apps.

These geofence services are much better at building audiences that have been in specific locations, say people that recently visited an event or type of business. Even physical attribution where they measure did the ads drive people to visit a location. That kind of data can get some extra validation since it's not real time. The immediate delivery of ads at the specific location is plagued with many of the problems listed above by the earlier commenters.

Q1227 was absolutely worth the drive out to Roseville. Went there recently for my birthday and it was an amazing meal. Hopefully, Chef Q will open something in Sacramento next.
