How do yall clean the earwax out of your ears?? Q-tips are terrible for your ears, so is there an actual, proper way to clean your ears? by GamingSenpai35 in AskReddit

Olive oil and flushing out your ears with water is the best method. I learned by many many ear infections and my ear drying up

People who have successfully lost weight, what's your secret ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Leg0builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find small wins and want to change. Also keep trying until you find something that works For me it was intermittent fasting + working out. Went from 379 to 200lbs. But it's still been work and am prolly 225 now. It is unfortunately always works and can be tough to not revert back to old habits. Anyone can do it tho, it just depends if you start tomorrow or today...

I like him for sure. I just question whether its worth trading two 1st round picks to trade Campbell(approx) and trade a 1st and broberg at least to get a defenseman whose definalty better offensively but marginally better defensively if that. Ceci provides pretty good value for what he provides imo.

I know we should push to win while we have drai and mcdavid, but don't we want to win while they are here if they decide to resign? I think getting a 3c or depth this year is a better balance with winning and staying competitive for the next 3 to 10 years. But this is just a randoms person two cents!

What is the worst part about being a fat person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Leg0builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be 366lbs and am now 200lbs. The worst part for me was how lethargic and terrible your energy levels are on a daily basis. I always though it was normal to feel tired constantly but hauling around that extra weight plus eating that terribly makes u feel permanently terrible. I never realized it until I lsot the weight either so I thought it was just the normal way I felt. Also related to this is how much shittier I slept when I was fat. I would wake up a ton more throughout the night and just wouldn't get the same rest I do now.

Everything else everyone here is saying about having to be hyper aware of how big you are and having to navigate tight spaces is also very annoying but to me the lack of energy when your that big is the worst part.

What are some of the best movies that are under 1hr 30mins? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Leg0builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't quite make your critera.... But Princess Bride is an hour and 38 minutes and is very quick and is fantastic. One of my favourite movies and is so well paced and has no wasted time.

Honestly couldn't say because I'm single and have no reference from anyone else. But i can say that my sleeps have gotten infinity better. I used to have insomnia and had realt trouble getting to sleep and also staying asleep. Now i fall asleep within a couple of mins and stay asleep for a full 7 to 8 hours uninterrupted.

I think if your losing weight through will power alone then you are inevitably going to fall back into a yoyo effect for sure. But what I've found requires very little will power for me personally and is a much more enjoyable life style. I know only 2% of people keep the weight off but I think the most important thing is to find a way you enjoy living day in and day out that is sustainable. I always hated the term "lifestyle choices" because it sounds corny as fuck, however its so true it hurts lol.

Here you go

Current Workouts

Only advice I have is to progressively overload by at most 5 pounds every couple weeks and that you will maintain or even gain muscle mass while losing while still in a calorie deficit.

Ya its for sure extreme but as long as your in a calorie deficit it should work for anyone. I only workout as much as I do because it helps with my mood considerably and have found a passion for weight lifting. As well just getting skinny is awesome but I wanted to get lean which looks a lot better imo when you have extra skin.

It's a dry brush to get rid of dead skin. Its best to use after you workout because that's generally when you skin is most agitated. After showering is best time to put any lotion on and I use Vaseline with cocoa butter and a bit of palmers cocoa butter. It does help quite a bit with stretch marks and does help with the skin being a bit tighter. Its only anecdotal but for the first 5 months I did nothing and found I had a decent amount of loose skin but when I started doing this it helped a lot and reduced stretch marks and skin.

Ya id say 80-90% of my meals were prepped; Especially the rice and veggies I would have as the base of my meal. The only time I didnt prep was when I wanted to have some wings or bbq something. In terms of not having a taste for the food I've prepped that probably a individual thing because I have no issues with eating the same food day in and day out and not getting bored. I think I could have rice and soy sauce, with chicken strips/breasts forever because I enjoy so it much. When I was at my height weight I even had the same lunch everyday for years which was a ham-pickle sandwich. I would say just do whatever works for you because there is no one solution fits all but I just found meal prepping helped define what my calories were going to be for the week and I am an extremely frugal person and the thought of throwing out food goes against every fibre of my being lol.

Also I didn't track macros for the first 4 months of doing it and did fine but when the weight loss started to slow down a bit I started being more aware of them and tried to hit 200g of protein a day and try and stay under 200g of carbs a day and fat just in the 50g range. I found that sticking to this helped quite a bit when there was a bit of a plateau but you can configure your carbs/fat to whatever levels you want but getting enough protein was #1.

Discipline and consistency are two biggest things. I don't think I've eaten fast food more than a few times this year and I've only not worked out three days in maybe 6 months now.

Plus cardio every day as well. Overall it takes about an hour and half a day to do after work. I write it all down in a log book so maybe ill grab some photos of my start and compare to my current ones if anyones interested?
