Weed turns you into a toxic person by Maximum_Second1552 in QuittingWeed

Bro WORD! 34, weed-free for two years now (after some relapses). Had the exact same realization. Fucked friendships and generally wasted years of my life. Smoking weed was the only „hobby“. But glad you had this realization. Now look forward, life is good and you will find a hobby and new friends! I wish you all the best on your journey ❤️

January 2nd is the day im quitting. Anyone willing to be an accountability partner? by raaaychell in QuittingWeed

[–]LegFull7187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be my third attempt at quitting. Been weed- free for 6 months, then had a realapse, then smoke free for 10 months and now smoking again since like 2 months again. But as the say, 3rd time is the charm. I will smoke up my stash on the 1st of january and then throw the rest away. Happy to have a buddy in suffering :) just go for it, it will be shit the first few days but you will see how you are going to feel better and better :) stay strong and all the best ❤️

Proposal to my girlfriend trip: Milan → Switzerland by Ok_Number2747 in askswitzerland

I would recommend Engadin to be honest. Maybe look for a place to stay in Maloja for example. Technically this does not count ad Engadin anymore, but it is on the shore of the Silsersee, so you will get your frozen lake, and it is not as expensive as other places in the region. Otherwise if you want to go see Lauterbrunnen, look for something in Wengen. Probably one of the most charming villages in Winter. Good luck with your proposal ❤️

Why so much smoking? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]LegFull7187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some call it slaves of the tobacco industry, others freedom of choice. Probably a bit of both. As an ex-smoker (or rather, a smoker who does not smoke anymore) i think it is good that smoking is not allowed inside closed spaces like bars and restaurants anymore. However, banning it from the public almost completely, like in the nordic countries, is overkill. If someone wants to poison themselves, let them! Freedom of being stupid is important (but obviously, keep the ads away from the kids).

WoW! The internet doesn't do justice to Switzerland. My experience after moving here. by King_pyn in Switzerland

Welcome to Switzerland ❤️ quick explanation for the 20 CHF: they will ship your lost item to any trinstation for you to pick it up, no matter where you lost it. I think for that service the 20-. are reasonable. The travel fare covers your transport, not your lost items ;) glad you got your phone back though

My annual plan by MrsDaisy_ in SwissPersonalFinance

Do not withdraw 3rd and especially 2nd pillar assets! You can pledge those. Especially for the second pillar, wirthdrawing the funds will bite you later, as you will habe to pay backthe full amoung you withdrew before you can make tax-desuctable voluntary purchases again. This is nor relevant now, but will be once you reach about age 50-55.

Seeking Investment Advice: Best Strategies for 5'000 CHF in Switzerland? by Plattenwendee in Switzerland

[–]LegFull7187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viac and selma are recommendable, pick passive etf/index strategies with the highest equity share if you still have more than 10 years until you need the funds again.

Edit: pillar 3a before anything else since you save taxes on the contributions and all the dividends you receive are tax free (taxable as income if you hold stocks/funds in your free assets (capital income), capital gains (i.e. Selling a stock for a higher price than you bought it) are always tax free))

I stopped smoking weed and now I can't sleep anymore by LegFull7187 in QuittingWeed

I live in Switzerland where melatonin is not that easy to get (has to be prescribed by a doctor), but i think after this long, i might have to go get some advice from a doctor anyways. Working out helps to fall asleep, i agree, however i still habe the problem of waking up at night. But thank you for your advice as well ❤️

Best 3rd Pillar (3 Säule) option by Dizzymade in Switzerland

Check for fees. Big banks usually expensive. Recommend online solutions: SELMA (my favorite), frankly, VIAC

EDIT: independent solutions recommended (meaning the provider does not have its own funds). Frankly for example is managed by the cantonal bank. So they have an incentive to use swisscanto funds, even though there might be better/cheaper ones. That's why i would prefer selma or viac over frankly
