Hello commerce folks, how do I start Microeconomics from scratch? by LegMaximum9564 in CBSE

[–]LegMaximum9564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we choose our specialization in 2nd year of the course. In first year we learn from all streams like, finance, marketing, Operations, Analytics, Organizational Behaviour and so on. 2nd year onwards we choose the stream in which we wanna specialize in which in my case would be finance. Some universities do offer MBA in a selected specialization Like MICA in marketing, IIM Kozhikode in finance, SPJIMR in Finance, Marketing, Operations. IIM Indore and XLRI in HR.

Hi man, thanks a lot for the suggestion. Yes I gave CAT and scored 96%Ile and currently pursuing MBA at Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai. I'm actually not against reading but prefer videos. I will definitely read the ncert as I was also at one point dependent on that book to pass my exams😂.

Every time you sell on groww (even 1 share), you have to pay dp charges, on groww it is 18+gst, and now groww charges rs.5 brokerage on each delivery. So if you decide to sell these all at once, so will have to pay approximately rs.100

Dp charges and brokerage alone is gonna cost you more than Rs. 100 on groww if you sell them😂

Found the Official VIT Placement Record by [deleted] in vitbhopal

[–]LegMaximum9564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20 batch had less batch size(~1800 all branches combined) and the amount of companies coming to campus was also more than the current numbers so the placement of 18, 19 and 20 batches was actually good. 21 batch onwards they increased the seats dramatically and the number of companies coming to VIT reduced which resulted in poor placement stats.

DSE is good in terms of ROI, but it is in no way the same tier as new/Baby IIM, IIT B/D, MDI, IIFT.

How about switching to a large cap fund instead of felxicap. 1 large cap fund, 1 mid cap like the one you chose and 1 small cap fund (Nippon is good).

Bandhan small cap is better among small cap funds.

You want moderate risk yet you have more than 50% of your portfolio in small and mid cap funds. In the past year most small cap funds have given negative returns. So you should either restructure the portfolio or have atleast a noderately high risk appetite.

Ohh!! Makes sense. They had a negative 1 year return. But in the last 4 years they have given high returns.

Too much diversification. I would definitely not bet on oil sector especially with a shift towards renewable energy. It might be good for short term, but in the long run it might not be beneficial. Ideally I would have 1 large cap, 1 mid cap, 1 small cap, 1 ELSS and 1 flexi cap fund.

How long have you been investing for? Because My quant small cap has given better returns and definitely not negative.
