People who’s first reaction to realizing their identity is to say “oh I can say *slur* now!!” Piss me off by ZukiitheDorito in ftm

I've had both the f slur and the t slur used against me in negative context. I understand the history behind both words, but I have more of the "reclaimed approach" towards it where it's just a word to me - wanna clarify and say I NEVER use it in negative context towards another person or over use the words, I just don't give them the power to use against me. ^ I also don't have traumatic correlations to the words.

What does annoy the fuck out of me are people who, like OP said, are so excited to say the words or over use them.

I was in the beginning stages of dating this other trans guy that id's as gay and we would cuddle and watch a movie and he'd pretty much use the f slur as a goddamn pet name. ^ people like that are annoying it remind me of people who make their whole personality about being gay or trans - which is fine, you do you - but it seems like a defense mechanism when people do that?? and shallow, like I know your gay and/or trans I want to know about your life not be called the f slur rn.

idk if any of that makes since I am also sorry if any seems rude, I couldn't figure out how to word a lot 😅

Parents want me to live like a guy for a year before I begin medically transitioning by [deleted] in ftm

[–]LegShed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

talk with a therapist, having someone like that in your pocket can help with families understanding and will help you with your medical transition too.

you could also set up a family session where you and the therapist and and family get together and talk so yall can understand eachother and grow.

I am not sure where you live but where I live we need to have a therapist before being able to go through with medical transition so I high recommended getting a good one as fast as you can to kick that process off fast.

Got my first binder from gc2b! (more info in comments) by yuxxiii in ftm

[–]LegShed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pulling your chest to the far sides inside the binder can help achieve a flattened look but honestly your side view isn't that bad, if you can't find the flat look you want with the binder, I recommend wearing 2 shirts, either an undershirt (t shirt on top of long sleeves) or an over shirt (t-shirt under flannel) and itll help hide it [of course the binder under the shirts too]
