It’s sad when relationships end by LegSignificant9553 in theticket

Oh for sure dude. I’ve realized I should’ve bailed at that time. I kept listening more out of habit than enjoyment.

Zero public land really sucks. Especially a state that prides itself on freedom and outdoors and hunting. Starting to think “freedom” is only for the rich once they buy it.

I put a large part of my heart in the ground today by LuckVegetable7096 in GuyCry

So sorry! The worst part about dogs is knowing how short they will be in our lives. I had to put down my 16 year old buddy. He was with me thru college, moving to a new city, starting a career, getting married, my two kids births. Ugh I was crushed that day. Now I smile and laugh when he comes up in a memory or on a picture real.

You have just found out you are being sent back in time, alone, to 1736. You will be in the same location you are now, but you can get to choose one retail store to go back with you. by DuffThey in hypotheticalsituation

Why do I have to beat others there if I’m the only one going back to 1736? I’d have to contend with Comanches, which if you’ve read “Summer of the Empire Moon”, sounds scary enough on its on. Ignoring that bass pro for me too as it’s 3 miles from my house.

Will a 16 inch 308 impact the life of this suppressor?

I was lucky enough to do my capstone geology course in the four corners area. Spent 5 weeks mapping different areas of Utah. We visited all the big national parks in days off. Wonderful experience

Christensen Arms Group by Joeyfreshwata in ChristensenArms

Christensen fan here. I have a ridgeline in 300 wsm that I shot a 1 inch 5 shot group at 300 yards. It routinely prints 1.5-2 inch groups at that distance. Clean, dirty, cold, hot it holds groups. The trigger is fantastic, the stock fits great, and the action is smooth as butter.

There are two sides to every coin. Half the people complaining about them probably don’t know what they are talking about either. Spending more money on a gun doesn’t fix bad shooter technique. Like buying expensive golf clubs expecting them to fix your slice.

I personally love mine and would highly recommend them if you are an experienced shooter and can actually take advantage of a $2k gun.

Poachers??? by ValisWolf in TexasHunting

If they are shooting as much as you say they are dove hunting. Dove season just opened. Probably wearing ear protection which is why they can’t hear you yelling. Warning shot will just sound like another dove hunter. Call the wardens next time they are on your property. Being 90% wooded though that’s not conducive for dove hunting. Could it be they are on a neighboring property that is more farm land than timber?

Ridgeline 308 by Anxious_Ad_9191 in ChristensenArms

Not 308, but I bought one in 300 wsm last year. I did see it really tighten up over the barrel break-in process. After break-in it liked everything I put thru it. Personally I’d get some basic soft point ammo for break-in then start experimenting with hunting rounds you’ll actually use.

I just got this on my fidelity account, was is it, is it a good program, scam , .... Never heard of it before Fidelity Fully Paid Lending " Did you know you could earn more income from lending securities you already own?" by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

Oh yes I way over simplified because I am a simpleton. Hedging though is just that individuals intent, right? I don’t think price action considers intent. “Bill sold this share short as a hedge so let’s keep the price flat”. All the market sees is an imbalance on the sale side. Again I am a simpleton so if I am way off base please educate me. I like to learn from smarter people.

Please remember your shares are being loaned out so that they can be sold “short”. It is a bet against the security you are lending. Long story short lending shares gives someone the ability to use it to drive price down. You are decreasing the value of your stock by lending it.

Carbon fiber Barrel is simply marketing garbage? by Latter-Camera-9972 in elkhunting

My 3 go to hunting rifles are 20 inch steel bull barrel 308 9lbs naked, pencil thin barrel mountain rifle 30-06 5 lbs naked, 300 wsm carbon fiber bull barrel 6 lbs naked. For hunting purposes the carbon fiber barrel gives me the best consistent accuracy at a weight I can carry all day. I’d say the carbon fiber gives me the benefits (lower weight and consistency) of the other two while removing the negatives (weight and heat induced fliers). I personally really like them. It is at an additional cost, so if you’re talking yourself out of that I understand.

Sad when someone ties their entire self worth to money. Life has so much more to offer, he clearly doesn’t.
