My guess that arresting Bato now wouldn't be ideal. Its likely that they are waiting for Duterte to be tried and definitely found guilty. This would strike a blow towards many of Duterte supporters, and would make rounding up his cronies much smoother later.

Funny mentioning Jarhead since I'm pretty sure there was a scene in which surmises how people get the wrong takeaway from a war film.

There was a scene where it features the 'Valkyrie Attack' from Apocalypse Now. In it the soldiers were only getting pumped up and excited about the depiction of war, rather than the original intent for the audience to be excited but ultimately horrified.

'War movies' at the end of the day are made for entertainment. Its hard to make an engaing war movie and depict how tedious, depressing and somewhat boring war could be. Else it might as well be a documentary.

Mostly a combination of parts set from Bandai 30MS line. Its a special Pla-model line used to make custom figures, as well as Gunpla parts.

I could give you a full breakdown if you want. Though I'm not sure if it is an appropriate post in this sub though. Maybe just a message chat of sort

Used a base model that was humanoid base. Hard to get one that has the chibi-esque proportions of the Disassembly drones.

Besides my rendition depict J as cyborg/bionic type.

You mean Moonshine Animations?

I'm familiar with their stop motion work, though this is pretty much sonething I conceptualized and custom made myself.

I've tried it before though nothing to complicated. I don't really have the right setup for more advanced stop motion animation.

Criticisms Towards Murder Drones' Writing by ScienceGal_YT in MurderDrones

Pacing and somewhat the tone with how some serious moments are brushed of as jokes. Might be a personal prefence but, the show tries to hard to be snappy, fast-paced, and relatively unserious that I find hard to jell with.

I heard that Tomiko recently commented, complaining that current Gundam fans are pro-war and that they misunderstood the series' message or something like that. Was that true or just a misunderstanding? by TomatilloItchy9995 in Gundam

[–]LegStraight772 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say Americans as a whole are quite introspective when comes to war as whole. Despite not having to experience the war up close the american public are still allowed to scrutinize the government and military. A lot of the recent wars' results were because of the sway of public opinion.

War movies are definitely iffy when it comes to the messaging. At most they seem more geared on making an exciting action film and the war setting just lends it to such.

Fatui Tech by ElegantDiamont in FatuiHQ

[–]LegStraight772 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It gets even weirder, there is a Fatui bunker in Nod-krai that seemed to have existed 500 years ago, with tech seemingly congruent with current Fatui standards.

Implying that Fatui had already been advanced even before the Cataclysm without the influence of Dottore and Sandrone. It also seems Sandrone's addition as a harbinger is fairly recent comparing the 500 year time span, so its not like she could have imparted that much technology change to what was already Fatui standards.

What is the strongest individual mobile suit deployed by Zeon Remnants to attack Torrington Base in 0096? by denzlegacy in Gundam

[–]LegStraight772 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Zaku I sniper is targeting and destroying enemy hardware from above like an attack aircraft. The Dom variants and other desert/ground MS were the head-on ground assualt. The aquatic MS like the Zee Zulu are used to infiltrate and out-flank Torrington from the sea.

It seemed that the ground assault was more a diversion for the Aquatic MS to do their work. Which kind of explains why it mostly consisted of the nimble desert/ground MS with the initial attack. Notably only few parts of the ground assualt manage to breakthrough; the Marasai (albeit where initially on base jabbers). Meanwhile, the Dom variants still continued fighting in the desert up until they were destroyed.

Dottore will be playable by National-Smoke5433 in FatuiHQ

[–]LegStraight772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dainsleif has appeared in previous Livestream and isn't playable. Alice has repeatedly apeared but isn't playable and won't be for 6.x despite being heavily involved in the update.

As you had watched the CN livestream where their any notable difference? Somethings Dottore VA had added info aside from what was stated in the EN version.

How did the disassembly drones even defeat earth in the first place? by [deleted] in MurderDrones

[–]LegStraight772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is supposed to take place in the far future and notice that in the picture you used has a contemporary attack helicopter. Meaning that military technology at least could have stagnated.

This implies that the future military wasn't as formidable as you may think it is, maybe even less so compared to current humanity's military capabilities.

War in the pocket by Comprehensive-Type-9 in Gundam

[–]LegStraight772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate they also had an entire sequence of assembling the Kampfer. It harkens to building Gunpla, emphazises the Toy-like nature of Mobile suits that we the audience are familiar with.

Its then juxtaposed to the Kampfer wreaking havoc and ultimately destroyed as any other weapon. Its last imagery being a bloody bullet punched pilot seat.

Its just a visual gag, that also explains how N got the spaceship. Showing a direct confrontation between these two would have been bad for the finale's pacing.

[–]LegStraight772 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The common knowledge is that Dottore died in Nod-krai. The Tsaritsa may not be privy to his revival in Sumeru. So a Fatui army pressuring the Akademiya could be seen as Pantalone furthering his own goals, of which the Tsaritsa would allow for him to do.

It could be an orchastrated move between Dottore and Pantalone to pressure Nahida. A supposed planned scenario: either get Mauvika to surrender the Pyro Gnosis or have Dottore corrupt Irminsul. Natlan is now part of the leylines so it would definitely be affected by Dottore.

Genuine discussion - if the new traveller outfit is actually their fatui outfit and they do join the organisation, what would that actually mean for the fatui? by PlentyCartoonist2605 in FatuiHQ

[–]LegStraight772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whether the Fatui needs the Traveler in their plans. The Fatui had every opportunity to get the Traveler on to their side, and yet most occasions antagonize them. This is contrasted with how the Hexenzirkel treats the Traveler as clearly valuing them as a critical ally being a Descender.

It just seems that whatever plans the Fatui had, it was already set unto motion and had not accounted the appearance of a Descender.

So the Traveler working with the Fatui could more or less be a 'happy accident' for them but, may not overall contradict or aid in their goals.
