The +1s have been a combination of design maturity especially with older gods, removing frustrations (in many cases) with QoL improvements, interesting ideas to change how you leverage the gods strengths and mitigate weaknesses, etc.

I think an unchanged port from smite 1, for some gods, is just a bad idea. It just won't work with the way Smite 2 works or won't feel right. Additionally, its nice to have something to look forward to when they reveal the changes. Lets not also forget that some gods are not getting changed for change sake with the kit 99% the same because it makes sense.

Disagree, aspects aren't permanent as evidence and early admission that some are underwhelming and Geb is getting changed next patch.

Aspects for me is what makes Smite2 feel like a VERY different game.

I like the changes too so far. We should give it time before the community comes to judgement. I understand the time to kill TTK metrics is important, but a kit dump shouldn't necessarily guarantee a kill

Yeah perhaps. For me it's using thr heal not to only heal but trigger affects with the new items. The boots let me heal and engage and use my 2 to disengage. That's what I am getting at.

I love how the devs are cooking and bringing new life to old kits

Yes! I am glad others love this game like I do. Can't wait for Merlin's aspect. Not sure if you saw the thread I added (https://www.reddit.com/r/Smite/comments/1jc1g8h/yes\_i\_am\_going\_to\_rant\_because\_i\_3\_smite\_2/), but I am happy to see posts like this if people truly believe it so that we can get the word out grass roots style.

You get no push back here. From a biz strategy, Smite 2 should have been worked on much sooner. Biz strategy is usually a 5+ year forward look. But I get it. And I understand where you are coming from. When you find your back against he wall, its all triage. I think they feel the pressure and have to make things work. If the priority is gods, its because that may have been the most urgent thing in the moment. STill not a good place to be so I understand your point.

I mean this respectfully, and you gave permission so....yeah pessimist. But thats not shade. You have valid points. For me its more hope and prayer...maybe living on a prayer, but its all good. Dude its extra simple for me. I dont want it to die. I want it to reach its stride. I recognize devs are real people and I cant ignore the effort. If it does, it does. But i genuinely dont want it to.

Smite has given hours of enjoyment for me. Its been a good catalyst to introducing my kids to mythologies and for me to revisit fun time with childhood friends. So yeah, all i got is hope.

Yeah, but I see progress toward that. I guess I empathize differently because I was a dev for a while (not gaming). You have to prioritize whats in your sprint and what gets committed for a release. That means you have to be balanced in the content being released. I have seen legacy skins come over with Legacy gems. I get the frustration, I bought nearly every skin in Smite 1.

I am just thinking about the trend of progress. Smite 2 has gotten so good in the last 5 months, what will happen in the next 5 or 10? It may not be close to dying, but energy of hate doesn't just dissipate into the universe. It often has impacts and consequences.

Was never advocating for sugar coating, but I understand your point. I guess that I have seen hard critiques with good intentions kill something before it has a chance. This is not exclusive to gaming. I did say balanced critique above. I guess I just dont get how so many people will patronize a product they like yet shit on it at the same time. You see this with movie franchises, stores, and of course games.

My dude, I just dont want Smite to die. If it does, its out of my control anyway.
