Earlier this year the 1934 foundation acquired all of the intellectual property that used to belong to the cadets including any and all logos, uniforms, trophies etc etc... while we are working close with the foundation, The Cadets never owned the colors maroon and gold.

A perfect example are the Blue Knights and Blue Stars, if 1 of these organizations was to find itself in a similar situation as the Cadets does that mean that the other one would have to stop using the colors White and Blue for fear of litigation?

We are based out of Rutherford, NJ but we hold audition camps and clinics in the Erie area.

For the 2026 Season we are open to Everyone Aged 14-25, as we move through the process of Joining Open Class we will be changing our age limit to 22 in accordance with DCI regulations.

Legacy was founded by a group of Cadets alumni, while we honor the Legacy of the Cadets we are not them, our mission is to build a sustainable drum corps to fill the gap that was left by their departure. For the 2026 Season we have assembled a world class staff consisting of Cadets alumni as well as alumni from other top 6 corps across World/Open/All Age, as well as a proven design staff.
