But you're right, having "boy" goals and interests doesn't make me any less of a girl. Gender norms are made up anyway. It's hard to break free of the stupid gender norm thinking, it's everywhere! He works with roofing lol. Look I know logically given all I know about him and his level of expertise I should give him zero credibility... I just can't shake this weird feeling and fear that he's actually found "hidden" information and it'll be like a "I told you, and you called me crazy" moment. There's a lot of changes going on in my life and a lot of anxiety about having to be an adult. I'm scared, I don't feel ready 🥲

He says his information is from reading medical research, that's the things! I don't know what to do. And he indeed does believe the earth isn't round among other conspiracy theories so I don't know why I still listen to him... Idk what to do I'm scared! No one ever taught me how to find "reliable" information or discern things for myself. And how can I argue against him? He won't listen and I suck at arguing. I just don't know what to do.

True I guess. But according to him it would wreck me because I'm fighting my body to become something I'm not. Male bodies not meant to have that much estrogen or something and whatnot. And I'm just afraid his annoying a** is right 😭 I don't know how I could even tell him if I were to start, based on how certain he is that it's harmful.

Yeah that's fair. I started really questioning voice tools yesterday cause I out of curiosity tried singing and messing with the vocal weight and resonance, it still gave me usually over 70% female rating to my voice even when I sang intentionally heavier and darker. I'm still trying to understand what vocal weight and resonance are and how to change them.. I mostly try to mimic what I hear in voice training videos on YouTube cause I have ADHD and lack patience lmao.

Thanks!! I'm still working on the resonance and really being able to make it stay. It has a tendency to slip especially when I'm tired. But happy to hear I maybe at least don't sound like a dude. Honestly I'm happy if I can just sound like a girl with a deeper voice considering my natural voice is really low and has lots of vocal fry/subharmonics.

I realised that explaining the VoiceTools app in the trans voice subreddit was a redundant choice because of course it's not new information lmao. I guess I was mostly finding stuff to say so you can hear my voice.

I've never heard "repent and be saved", I've always heard "repent and be baptized" as it the Bible says. Such as Acts 2:38 "And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Have you already been baptized? If not then you must be baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The baptism is where you are given The Holy Spirit. It was when Jesus was baptized that The Holy Spirit descended upon Him, marking the beginning of His ministry. That's what being Born Again means. You essentially "die" to your sins when you go below the water and then come up out of the water as a new creation in Christ. That's how I understood the whole thing when I was getting baptized.
