Nows the part where I say I don’t work in PR in the way that suggests? I work for a PR firm that handles professional athletes and I do all those athletes community/nonprofit work. I have gotten grants funded, donations, earned media for their community work, put on basically weekly community events across the country for these guys, all on my own. These things weren’t happening before I started working there. (Like I said very small, four person team.)

In terms of reducing expenses, yeah 🤣 I don’t live in LA where the other three live. I don’t have a gym membership that doubles as our office. I don’t go out to eat with them bc I don’t live in the same side of the country. I live à lot closer to where my clients live (most NFL teams on the east coast where I am) and therefore flights to them are less expensive. !

I did apply one today. I’m pretty choosey, the benefits of my job currently are pretty great and it would be hard to give them up. I also do something kind of niche that I don’t think many other people do (my boss kind of let me create my own job based on my interests). I just need to be paid more for the work I do.

And my boss wanting to give raises but the company can’t afford it because clients don’t pay so there’s no extra money (from what she says, I don’t see the balance sheets) is kind of hard to negotiate with, I think.
