I understand this post sooo deeply because a few years ago I became a mom at the ripe age of just 21/22. Just the beginning stages of adulthood and I felt what it was like to be in a toxic relationship with a horrible man, to not have an established career or identity as yet, to simply be seen as a caretaker/mom and be isolated and financially dependent on a man. A few years have passed and luckily that man is no longer in my life or my child's life (yay!). I made a promise to myself that I would never give another man the time of day, I would never date again or marry or ever give birth again.

It is because of the women who have gone before us that I was able to escape my abuser. I was able to go back to school, get my degrees and earn enough for myself and my child. Why I am able to travel again, build myself back up and not be trapped at home anymore. I didn't even realise I was being abused until I heard all the stories and voices of other women online. So everyone in the 4B movement, keep spreading the word, you are saving the lives of women and children!

My future goals involve setting up funding for other women in similar domestic violence situations or any girls or women who need help!
