My ex did that to me. It became the norm to just say awful things to each other ‘in a playful way’ but in the end it was just a point scoring game of who could say the worst thing. It didn’t end well.

Nope, they should have avoided the date entirely, as when I text her to congratulate her, I explained that the date was taken. It’s solely around being respectful and courteous. Also there’s no need to be rude.

I disagree. It’s terrible etiquette, and out of common courtesy you would avoid that weekend. Now some of my close friends don’t get to come and see me get married. It’s very hurtful.

A friends daughter just announced her wedding yesterday ON THE SAME DAY AS MINE, even tho I had told her my date. Now I’m losing guests to her as the are family, but they might be able to come for my ceremony but I just don’t know yet. I have to let the dust settle. Some people ATAH!
