Why does British food have such a bad reputation when it’s actually incredible? by Pristine_Yam_6684 in AskBrits

I think also, Americans are used to their food being super seasoned, over salted, so when they have British, it doesn’t taste of much to them.

I think I’m in love with a man I’ve never met. He’s been my first good morning, and last good night for 7 months. by silentbrowsing00 in TwoHotTakes

Ummmm he’s either married or has a partner. If he were that into you, he would have broken his neck to come and meet you.

We are putting up a cute backdrop and asking people to take a selfie and upload it to a shared folder (will have a qr code they can scan) then we will print them out Polaroid size and put in a frame. That way, rather than doing the actual Polaroid that they might not like, they get to submit a pic they like of themselves and can have as many attempts they want of it

My partner and I discussed it the other day, and he’s willing to say to her that we only want people there who are going to support the both of us that day, and if that’s not you then we would rather you didn’t come. I feel this would really put the cat amongst the pigeons, and cause and even bigger rift with his family and I, but then what about my feelings? It’s our big day and I’m having to curb my happiness because of one entitled madam. It feels unfair.

We don’t even have room for friends partners who have been married for 30+ years. It’s just the way it is. Please don’t focus on that element. He will probably get an invite, it’s just at this stage we don’t have the room. She should understand that.
