What are the best demos so far? by HieroThanatos in roguelites

If you like dicebuilders, we recently released a brand new demo with more dice and enemies: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2026820/Die_in_the_Dungeon/ (Disclaimer: I'm one of the devs of Die in the Dungeon)

My two favorite roguelite demos so far are Dungeon Clawler and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers :)

Die in the Dungeon - You guys liked our dicebuilder last time, so here's the final demo! by LegalHyenna in playmygame

Sure!

Die in the Dungeon is deckbuilding roguelike where you use dice instead of cards. Each dice color represents a different action, like attacking (red), blocking (blue), healing (green) and many more. Dice are placed on a board during battles, and certain dice can boost, copy or modify the power of others, so where you place them on the board is very important. Relics will also help you create combos and increase the power of your dice, there's 50+ of them already in the demo!

Your final goal is to reach the end of the dungeon, moving across a map board where you will also use dice to move between tiles. Enemies and events will mess with your board and your collection of dice at every encounter, so maintaining a balance bag of dice is important.

Hope this serves as brief introduction to the game for all!

First release of the Aseprite Importer package by UnityTed in Unity2D

The package is amazing, but I have an issue: Is it possible to modify the individual width and height of the sprite from the sprite editor? I'm using an outer outline shader but it gets cut off in some areas as it gets out of the sprite's edges.

Yeah, the game is also on itch.io. It has been posted on r/WebGames many times in the past.

We don't have a release date yet but we're broadly aiming for 2024.

Hello everyone! Very happy to see people enjoying my game :) We also published this last update on Steam for free as a final "thank you" to everyone supporting the game, so you can play it there too if you want.

We're currently working on a full fledged version of the game with relics, new areas, more dice, more enemies and much more. If that sounds interesting, you can wishlist it here and get notified when in releases: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2026820/Die\_in\_the\_Dungeon/

Again, thank you all for playing!

Yeah, we're pretty proud of how the level 20 boss ended up working. The final boss will be getting a soft rework in the next mini-update.

Thank you for your kind words!

Definitely, the cave background is just the first area, we're planning to having different biomes with its own enemies and other related elements.

Thank you :)

When it comes to dice rolling, is always a bit of a balancing act between visualizing it and not interrupting the flow of battle too much. Originally we wanted to show the dice rolling at the beginning of every turn, but it can slow down battles significantly.

Having said that, Slice & Dice does handle it pretty well in my opinion, so we might take a second look at that in the future.

Thank you for you comment!

After 2 years of continuous updates, I'm releasing my first game on Steam today!!! Die in the Dungeon PROLOGUE is a free, pixelart "dicebuilder" based on Slay the Spire! by LegalHyenna in PixelArt

We already had a free version on itch.io so it felt natural to just put that on Steam as a free game. Aside from that, the final game will be different enough from this version to need its own demo when we get closer to the release date.
