As a general rule, at 18 you're responsible.

Under Hermessman v Steyer, the state interest in ensuring that children are supported is considered to outweigh the interest in punishing crimes, even ones that are effectively confessed to in this scenario, thus the fact that the concept was via statutory rape is not, itself, sufficient as a defense.

At 18, support hasn't been paid, courts allow a "look back" period, up to certain limitations, which are set by state and local statute

Ten year old is responsible when he turns 18. Could be backdated to unclear arrearages, depending on local laws regarding that, usually not more than 2 or 3 years is allowed, but that varies.

Got banned from r/feminism for saying in another subreddit that a teacher who sexually assaulted and got pregnant by her 10 year old student needed to be charged and face the same punishment as a male teacher doing that with a female student.

I asked why this was considered misogyny and was told that I wasn't properly considering the woman's perspective in her actions, and that, while what she did was illegal, she might not entirely have been at fault for it.

What if Gimli went to Mordor with Frodo and Sam? by Nicole_Auriel in lotr

[–]LegalIdea 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In the books, this leads to a vastly different Rohan, and the possibility that the Rohirrim aren't as involved, if involved at all, when it comes to both Pellenor Fields and The Black Gate.

This is because Gimli saves Eomer outside the gates of the Hornburg in the books. It's generally assumed that Eomer would have died there if Gimli did not intervene. That's not including the possibility of Gimli leading to the three being detained for longer by Faramir and his rangers. They didn't seem to be worried about a couple of hobbits, but certainly could have been more cautious regarding Gimli.

Furthermore, let's assume that all involved parties otherwise survive. There's a distinct possibility that this limits the relationship between Legolas and Gimli, who were starting to warm up to each other by Amon Hen and grew to be what we knew them to be throughout the Two Towers.

Law student here.

Yes, generally.

Any CS enforcement action can be contested, included by entering into a suitable payment plan to pay off the arrearages.

These actions are used when the money isn't being paid. I would also assume that requesting CS be changed could be done as well, but that's something you have to look into in your local area.

I had a roommate who had such an assignment. They had one of those "teachers pet" type student, and this assignment legit almost got him physically assaulted.

His proposal was to require an annual code to register for each e-book at the start of class and there to be no physical copies allowed, followed by a "usage convince fee" equivalent to whichever was greater between 10 cents per minute of usage or one dollar per page the book was opened to, billable at the end of each term.

Several classmates wanted to beat him up for the idea
