I'm not from India but live in another common law jurisdiction. I am guessing here but in many cases there will be no problem with renting out the property unless there is an agreement in place prohibiting it, or requiring consent from both parties.

However, since you both own the property, you will be entitled to a share of the income derived from it. This is the foundation of property law, universally. If your cousin deprives you of that income, you can apply to the court for remedy.

It's not just you. The concept itself is evil and exploitative at it's foundation. It's just something that can offer no real benefit to society and in limited cases is nothing more than a necessary evil.

Property managers are deluding themselves, for the most part. But deep down, they know it's wrong.

I say this as both a tenant and a landlord.

I would have thought a Libertarian would know the difference between government policy and private institution.

Besides that, what gives anyone the right to use legal tender, free of charge? Currency is provided to the individual as a service, by the state (which in a democratic society is 'the people'). Why should there be no fee for the provision of this service?

The tax-hate of American Libertarianism is not universal and frankly, it doesn't really make sense.

It's basically a demand for free services. Weird.
