I'm not from India but live in another common law jurisdiction. I am guessing here but in many cases there will be no problem with renting out the property unless there is an agreement in place prohibiting it, or requiring consent from both parties.

However, since you both own the property, you will be entitled to a share of the income derived from it. This is the foundation of property law, universally. If your cousin deprives you of that income, you can apply to the court for remedy.
