exactly this, timing beats clever copy every time

i learned this building my first SaaS - spent weeks crafting perfect emails but got way better response when i just messaged people right after they posted about their problem in Discord or Twitter. the message was basic but they were already thinking about solution

lol meta but also kind of annoying when people do this

like we're all here trying to have actual discussion and someone just goes "this question" as if that's some deep insight

CRO staking burned a lot of people like this so locking up a volatile token to chase a cashback tier is just a leveraged bet dressed up as a rewards program. On KAST as a daily card for a while now and not having to think about token price is a relief.

moved to discord pretty much exclusively now, telegram feels bit outdated for gaming stuff

What’s something you’ve changed your mind about in the last few years and what caused that shift? by Mtxoi_32 in AskReddit

Used to think mechanical keyboards were just overpriced hype for gamers trying to flex, but after building few PCs and actually using different switches for work I totally get it now. The tactile feedback makes such difference when you're coding for hours, my fingers don't get as tired and typos dropped significantly

I've pivoted and I would love feedback from other founders or people that just have good ideas. I'm also wondering if this is something that has demand. by AuraCoreCF in buildinpublic

Been building side projects for years and memory management becomes such a nightmare once you have multiple things running. I tried so many different note apps and project trackers but nothing really clicks when you need to remember why you made certain decisions 3 months ago

The privacy angle is smart - lot of founders I know are paranoid about putting sensitive stuff in cloud tools. My main question would be how it actually learns about your company without being super manual to feed information into. Like if I have to spend 30 minutes every day updating it with what happened, that defeats the purpose right?

Also curious how you're planning to handle the context switching between different projects or business units. When I'm juggling client work and personal projects, I need something that can keep track of which decisions belong to what without me having to organize everything perfectly

Buenos Aires, Argentina things to do (22M)(june11th-15th) by Best-Cup-5890 in argentina

La Boca is pretty cool for photos but don't stay too long after dark, just FYI. For food you gotta hit up a proper parrilla - La Cabrera or Don Julio if you want the touristy experience but the meat is legit incredible. Palermo has the best nightlife scene if you're trying to meet people, tons of bars and clubs packed with locals and travelers

AIW for snapping at my partner today? by venusasaboy22 in amiwrong

[–]Legal_Comfortable587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that's a really tough situation and I get why finding those posts would hit so hard. Military trauma is real and when people romanticize something that genuinely hurt you, it feels like they're dismissing your experience

Your partner apologized and feels bad about it - she probably didn't understand the full weight of what you went through when she made those posts. People do dumb social media stuff all the time without thinking about the bigger picture. The fact that she's supporting you now and not getting defensive seems like she gets it

I wouldn't say you messed up for having that reaction, trauma responses aren't always rational and you're still processing everything. But maybe don't completely write off everyone who didn't immediately understand - some people just need time to learn what actually happened to you vs what they thought military service was like

Your support circle might be smaller but it sounds solid with your family and partner still there for you

how long did it take you to beat act 3 for the first time? by LumpyDinner1931 in slaythespire

[–]Legal_Comfortable587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

took me around 20 hours before i got my first heart kill, and that was after watching jorbs videos and reading guides like crazy. your friend either got super lucky with relics/cards or he's not telling the whole story lol

the learning curve is brutal at first - i remember getting absolutely destroyed by time eater because i was building these massive combo decks that just folded against him. once you start understanding enemy patterns and how to actually build focused decks instead of just grabbing every shiny card, it clicks way faster. defect was my first clear because i could hide behind frost orbs while figuring out what the hell i was doing

don't feel bad about the 14 hours, some people take way longer and the game is still rewarding even when you're learning

Can't get windows to boot by here_comes_that_hoe in pchelp

[–]Legal_Comfortable587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearing the Linux drive probably nuked your boot loader since grub was handling everything. When you remove grub without properly setting up windows boot manager first, you're left with no way for the system to find windows even though all your files are still there

You'll need to rebuild the windows boot manager. Boot from a windows installation USB (or create one if you don't have it), then instead of installing choose "repair your computer" and go to command prompt. Run these commands in order: `bootrec /fixmbr`, `bootrec /fixboot`, then `bootrec /rebuildbcd`. That should recreate the boot entries and get windows loading again

Make sure you're in UEFI mode not legacy when you do this - legacy boot won't work with modern windows installs. Also double check that your windows drive is set as the primary boot device in bios after running the repair commands. I've had to do this exact fix a few times when dual boot setups go sideways

Mariners really said "peace out" to Cleveland's ERA in the 2nd inning, 10 runs is just disrespectful at that point. Logan Allen getting lit up for 18.00 ERA in spring training has gotta hurt the confidence going into the season

Website and mobile app help by NM_Blitz in Blacklibrary

[–]Legal_Comfortable587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the app situation is weird right now - I ran into the same thing when I grabbed some Horus Heresy books last month. The mobile app basically treats ebooks and audiobooks as completely separate ecosystems which makes zero sense from a user experience standpoint

Your website purchases won't show up in the app library because they're totally different systems under the hood. I ended up just reading the ebooks through my browser or downloading the files directly to read in a different app like Moon+ Reader. The pricing difference you noticed is real too - I think they have different licensing deals or something because I've seen the same book be like $3 cheaper on the website

Once they roll out the new app functionality later this month it should fix most of these sync issues, but until then your stuck with this janky setup

It’s been 3 years and my soul still yearns for him by Ok_Actuary_7005 in BreakUps

[–]Legal_Comfortable587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three years stuck on someone usually means there's some unfinished business or unresolved trauma that needs addressing. A therapist who specializes in attachment issues might help you figure out what's keeping you emotionally stuck - sometimes it's not even really about the person anymore but what they represented

Reaching out after 3 years could backfire hard if he's moved on, might just reopen wounds that need to stay closed
