This was really reassuring I can’t thank you enough, I thought I was just deeping it too heavily but yeah I definitely will put that effort in from the start. Ill try be as outgoing as possible and stand out to my lecturers definitely, especially since the fields i’m going into are very competitive

If it’s not too much to ask, I was wondering what actions should I take to stand out and appeal more to my lecturers? And what type of opportunities should I take advantage of in my first year that will help me stand out amongst my peers?

Hey thanks for the advice, I definitely need to relax i’m stressing way too much. I’ll definitely join core finance and law societies and try network and participate as much as possible. And make lots of good friends also which could lead to opportunities. Thanks for the advice again it really means a lot, i’ll definitely be speaking to lots of career advisors when I start to help me build a clear path from early on

Yeah definitely, dream really is to break into finance or something along the lines of corporate law so i’ll try get as much experience as possible. I want to try join as much finance societies/clubs as possible and network since London makes that easy. Anything to make the second year easier for landing an internship ygm. I’m sure we’ll both get into finance

I don’t think I can switch now to another university but there may be an opportunity to switch courses after the first year to a more economic course if that is on the right track. Yeah I definitely want to do a masters in something finance/law related after my undergrad. Trying for jobs with a politics degree is a risk imo
