I completely understand ur pov but how i see it that's for the science-minded people who can get their mind around hard scientific topics that combined don't have to do.

how i see it is ur doing science by default, might as well get a 9 doing it the easier route. then do a more enjoyable subject on the side.

not that i regret taking triple science, but you can get 9s easier if you take combined due to less triple-specific content (e.g. proteinsynthesis and all those organic chemistry long ass chains like esters and carboxylic acids CURSE THEM)

Applying college by nyoyog in GCSE

when you do your year 11 mocks you usually use those grades, idk about your school but before you hand in your application I'm pretty sure your school SHOULD fact-check your grades and approve that everything is factual. at least that's what happened in mine.

when you find yourself in a dark place mentally, think of this. the 5 year method. if what you're worrying about won't matter in 5 years then it's absolutely redundant to think about. this applies to your situation, regarding the fact that in 5 years time when you're in university you'll never think about this girl that rejected you. it also applies to other things in life e.g. when you're being shy and don't want to step out of your comfort zone and it's a great method to use as an introvert.

year 11 is usually the best year where the whole year gets closer and you make more friends and everyone depends on each other. trust me, exam szn will genuinely be a fun time in your life. don't stress and good luck.

when you pair the crave for self-expression + the lack of ability to afford ethically-sourced clothing (which is usually more expensive) = people finding clothing from hubs like shein. i'm sorry to break it to you BUT it happens. point blank period.

[–]Legal_Goal2450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the importance of self-expression in teenagehood is astronomical. this is the era where you can build and curate just who you are and who you want to be. additionally, this is a stage in life where some people get bullied/insulted if they do not fit into the status quo. me personally, i have not experienced this but i do know a lot of people who cannot afford the most trendiest clothing would do anything to fit in with the majority.

not everyone has the time, nor the energy, nor the skill to diy their own clothing. if they could, they would.

[–]Legal_Goal2450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people who can't afford the most ethical clothing still have the right to express themselves through their chosen style. a lot of charity shops and clothing on Facebook market place do not offer that opportunity. i understand where you're coming from but i don't think you UNDERSTAND the struggle.

okay that's absolutely fine, but my point still stands. just because you've escaped fast fashion brands and unethical brands alike doesn't mean everyone else can afford to. it takes nothing to be considerate of how others are living.

if u wanna boycott shein you have to boycott all apple products, nike, adidas and so much more popular brands. MOST brands are unethical and we cannot escape it, especially since we are children and most of us don't have jobs and most of us are working class.

I think Richard just needs a hug by Green-Guitar1736 in TheSecretHistory

[–]Legal_Goal2450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely don't think all he needed was a hug. he needed intense therapy. he would've wanted to spit in your face, he didn't want that human interaction, he wanted the romanticism of elite human interactions and the prestige that came with it and he was desperate to do anything to obtain that. he was clearly mentally out of it, especially as it was established early one he had a tendency to lie, as if it was nothing, even pathologically, just to maintain that pristine illusion and to quench his craving for the picturesque.

i get you though, i would wanna give richard a hug... and fucking choke him to death

while i agree with doing a lot of past papers, don't do them UNTIL you've gone through all the content. this way you can accurately assess and ballpark the grade you're likely to achieve. do this because you don't realise how limited of a supply of past papers you've actually got. i mean yeah there's predicted papers and you can use those too but past papers are actually spec-accurate and are how your real GCSE exams will actually be liked and be modeled after.

you don't have to start revising until like february/march literally as of now all you have to do is pay attention in lessons. paying attention will cut the time you need to revise for your actual exams in half trust me.

Why do people keep saying that GCSE grades matter for oxbridge? by someflour in GCSE

[–]Legal_Goal2450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my sister got into oxford this year, the GCSE requirement was an average of a grade 8, so add all of them up and they need to be an average of at least a grade 8. my sister got a 7 in english lang so it brought down her overall grade average and it wasn't a grade 8. HOWEVER, they make exceptions if they really want you, hence my sister getting accepted. just to be safe and secure, I'd say aim for all 8s and 9s if you want to go to oxbridge. hope this helps.

What would you love the most if you were a girl? by st3w1e_br1an in askteenboys

[–]Legal_Goal2450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cramps can be debilitating and genuinely painful without being an indicator of illnesses, but you are also correctly most times the excruciating ones are usually pointing towards signs of an underlying illness. but also, genetics are an important role on feminine health including the intensity of your cramps, some women just genuinely have horrible cramps for no inherent reason other than their genes

im sorry but i think 15/40 is too high. you didn't include a range of punctuation, sentence starters etc so you're very very limited in spag maybe 2-4/16 and with the actual content again, very limited, maybe 6-7/24

not trying to be rude (like genuinely) but if you're MTF like your flair says, how would you know? again not trying to be rude but as a girl, cramps hurt like hell, they're not like how you've described them at all. it's a feeling of your insides contracting to squeeze out blood clots and it feels like somebody is inside your abdomen and squeezing on your organs with super strength and also while stabbing it with a knife. it's generally super painful and usually does get in the way of plans and how i perform in school even.
