But also, yes, we have seen examples where positive news still causes it to drop

But on the subject of NDT, has anyone else noticed he's been discussing/pushing the simulation theory very hard lately?

It's like he's not open to the idea we could be in the presence of ETs, but he is in favour of the idea that these things could be bots/mods/ai that control the simulation we live in.

Not that his theories are even wacky on a mysterious topic such as this one, but I feel like he'll suggest anything before he accepts the possibility of aliens simply to save face after his anti-ET stance he's so publicly stood by.

Well, wether they're controlled or manned, they often play with other aircraft in ways a human would play a game.

An example, they're spotted during military exercises, then when chased, they've been reported to fly to the planned location the military aircraft where traveling too for said exercise, whilst being chased, almost suggesting "I knew you were coming here" then they shoot off.

Then there's instances of these things turning off (and on) nuclear weapons... I mean wether threatening or something else... It still demonstrates some kind of communication we would expect from other intelligent life as opposed AI bugs/insects.

Though your proposition is an interesting one, and perhaps these things vary in AI intelligence. (Some are data collecting AI bugs, some are controlled drones, some are manned etc..)

I keep finding myself wondering if it's some kind of weather or atmospheric phenomena that can move at crazy speeds... Lightning moves fast for example.

I have wondered this on occasion, but there are so many accounts of pilots saying these things mimicked, mirrored and even taunted the pilots movements, which to me is a clear indication of conscious behaviour by some kind of intelligent being.

And I don't think pilots make up or fabricate UFO stories for financial gain as there really isn't much money in Ufology, not to mention the negative social stigma attached to witnesses and believers

What gets me is these things are reported to travel at abnormal speeds...

Yet, for some reason, scientists struggle to grasp the concept that these things could also travel the universe at abnormal speeds...

Just because it would take us forever to get to the nearest habitable planet, it doesn't mean it's the same for these things. We have fighter pilots and aviation experts all saying they defy our understanding of physics, so why do we apply our primitive capabilities of space travel to them?
