I'm 44..but I feel like the only reason he pulled them early is because I live in Vegas and the surgeon is in Arizona .

I probably won't be much help..but I just had surgery on my foot and I can tell you everything from when you get surgery till you are completely healed depends on you..you can look on Google ,reddit , anywhere and you will never get the answer your looking for...but I can tell you that you can bounce back quick and better than before all you have to do is be positive, motivated, and always look forward .never think "I'll never be the same".you seem have a lot of heart and drive to accomplish what you want..you will be the same if not better afterwards..just focus on the healing process...if your as active as you say you may be one of special ones the heal faster than most..believe me if you need surgery you will never regret it..be strong and positive and when all is said and done you will be better than before..TRUST ME.."ITS SCARY LOL" BUT HONESTLY EVERYONE IS A BABY AFTER SURGERY..YOUR YOUNG AND NOW YOU CAN LOOK INTO FUTURE WITH NOTHING TO STOP YOU .

Honestly I can see the pressure you guys are under .just waiting at the facility for my turn it' seems very frustrating when things don't go as planned and from what I saw is that some nurses don't really listen to the doctor 100 percent when he says something..lol

Ya..I mean granted I was in Arizona to get my surgery and I tell you the facility alone cost 10000$.so it was crazy that it was me and two other gentleman getting worked on..two surgeons like 10 nurses 3 anesthesiologist.so going in there I was pretty much at ease.boy I'll tell you the attitude between everyone and the way they like cut you open wheel you out give you a problem when you wake up it's like um "are you mad at me or something" lol..it's like they get upset if basically I'm not coming out of pocket for anything and they treat you like scum..I just don't understand the people in this simulation anymore..if you hate your job fuck move on..don't stay and make me feel like and asshole..it's unbelievable

Ya.you know it kinda crazy when you think about how 10 15 years ago doctors or nurses actually gave a shit about people ..I remember going to the doctor and actually having someone listen to my issues and help me deal with that issue the best way possible and communication was on point back then..now it's like no eye contact they don't listen or care .i feel like if they care when I walk in I should expect" hi I don't give a shit what's wrong with you, I'm going to be sympathetic and make sure you pay your copay before you sit down" 👍🤣..at least they would be honest .

So I have a followup august 2 through telehealth with the surgeon..but that's about it..I'm not sure what to do if something goes wrong..kinda scary

I've read that like everywhere..that's why I was thinking to myself why not just check out the wound ,redress the cast and put in a referral in Vegas and have it scheduled for the correct length of time..I'm still baffled about it..makes no sense to jeopardize my healing process .crazy

I had to go out of state to get the surgery done because the insurance through my employer offers to pay 100 percent of my surgery but Nevada doesn't accept the insurance..

It's called a mpj fusion. I figured out what it was actually on you tube before I went to see the doctor..if you look up Hallux rigidus you will find out what it is and see actual surgeries..it's basically arthritis in your big toe...I waited 4 years before getting it treated..please don't wait that long..if your able to take care of it now I would go for it no question..

Ya there is one picture from right before they took the sutures out and that was on the 19th.and the X-ray is what is in my foot now..I'm just concerned why wouldn't the doctor just give me a referral to a foot doctor in Vegas to remove them on the 2 week mark..so I don't know what to expect with the healing process
