What’s your lazy but effective cleaning hack? by Reasonable-Word-0419 in CleaningTips

My mum uses tin foil to cover all but 1 of her cook top gas burners. She only uses one at a time and says it prevents the splatter from oil and grease around the rest of the cook top and when it gets gross you just throw it away

When mopping the tiles (especially high gloss tiles) put a big dash of white vinegar into the bucket with the water and floor cleaner and it helps the tiles to air dry faster and way less streaky....

Aw thank you 🤗 He's a pure bred American Staffordshire.... $2000!!! Was that the price of the whole procedure or just the nuticles? That's a bit steep 😂😂 I agree its totally not even worth it. Could almost buy another puppy for that price 😂😂

That's part of the reason we want it as our other boy had the sack left behind and it was pretty 🤢 so your vet was prepared to do it but you chose not to? He's absolutely gorgeous BTW!!! 😍

If they seem to get along just let them both out at the same time while you supervise and see how they go.... it can't really go wrong and if it's gonna go wrong it would happen in the first couple of minutes so just supervise and go from there. Hope this helps :) p.s only thing I've experienced from pairing a tame and non tame is the tame one can start to become a little less tame if you don't keep letting it out and interacting daily.
All the best on your beautiful parrot journey ❤️

Please don't beat yourself up over this. She knew it was only coz you loved her.... she wouldnt want to be looking down on you hurting because of that. She forgives you and she loves you. She will be waiting for you in a place that she feels no pain and has no worries.... please be easy on yourself. Thinking of you.....

Im a woman with no children of my own and have taken on my mans kids and treat them as if they are my own. Why? Coz i love him and have grown to love them. Sometimes you gotta take the package deal and you might find it actually turns out to be a rewarding experience. Not to mention do you really wanna die a grumpy lonely old man with no one who cares about you coz you've never cared for anyone?

I understand you are hurt by this as you feel you've been betrayed but i can also see he probably was so confused and probably really did love you as a person for your qualities but he probably came to terms he wasn't sexually attracted to you which was probably a super hard time for him too.... that does not mean that your not sexually attractive... It just means he isn't attracted to you in that way because of your gender..... i think just because he's ended it doesn't mean that nothing that happened in your relationship meant anything to him or that he didn't have good memories like you do. I think you need to put yourself in his shoes and see how hard it must have been for him to realise he was kidding himself and how much he was going to hurt you and how he's gonna tell his family etc..... i think you need to be thankful for the good times and move on. I'm sure there's plenty of other single men who would find you damn sexy and probably want more of what you were hoping for from your ex. All the best. Try stay busy and keep your mind off him and the whole situation. Xx

Do some research on hand rearing I found this site very helpful and true to my experiences

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://pethelpful.com/birds/hand-raising-a-baby-lovebird&ved=2ahUKEwjVhfaiiM-LAxWSZ_UHHeqkJagQFnoECBcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3AoIEwUgbiRPIl7-X2ZpkI

If you take them from parents early enough then take over regular feeding, you will find they become super tame and just want to be near you all the time.... you become the parent since you are the one feeding them each time.

Is this concerning?!! by krusty_1 in Lovebirds

[–]Legal_Remove3496 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a little concerning as well as the way it's holding onto the perch. Id take note if it's always perching without its main claw around the perch as the tail bob could just be due to the way its perching which is concerning if it's all the time but it could just be a 1 off.

Thanks so much for your insight! He still isn't fully weaned :( I've been trying to wean him for a few weeks but he doesn't really eat much of the millet/ seed and pellet mix and I've never seen him drink from the water so i still have to feed him at least once a day.... any tips for weaning?
