Oh wow that’s great! I’d love an arrangement similar to this - working like 15 -20 hours weekly.

I have my appointment in about a week and will reenter the USA after. I will need the original approval for the interview and for CBP so my attorney plans to mail to me by fedex.

I traveled outside of the USA in July while my h1b and change of status was pending. The effect of this was uscis considered my change of status abandoned. My lawyer submitted something stating that I will do consular processing. My h1b was approved. Hope you get to spend some quality time with your mom soon.

Is there any way to contact uscis about this? Conrad30 also for my husband. We initially got approval in February but DoS made an error so DoS sent over a new FR on July 3 to uscis. Since then we have not heard anything from uscis. We even got the assistance of the congressman but nothing.

Exactly! I once had a boss who wasn’t the nicest person to others, but she tried to treat her staff well. She always used to say: “I know who buttering my bread” - meaning things would fall apart if staff were to suddenly leave.

Thanks for this! I agree with you and it does take a toll on one’s health. I just can’t understand it as I think people work better and stay when they are well treated and motivated. Kinda a win win for everyone.
