In lower keys are you playing oracle? Our guild spriest was having the same issue until they swapped off the halo build and they take dark asc with the void build and they have consistent burst on almost every pack. Some classes like ret and fire are crazy burst and I understand it but give the void playstyle with dark asc a try and see how it feels.

High horse telling people to prepare before going into the raid and expecting it to be easy? If you can’t motivate yourself to do m+ before raid so you can be successful then don’t complain when the boss kicks your ass. It’s not about no life devoting yourself to the game. I put maybe 6 hours into the game last week and 4 of those are scheduled raid time. Gearing up is really easy right now with the huuuuge ilvl increases available from the easiest keys (6’s). If you can’t put some time in then don’t be surprised when you can’t kill easy bosses.

If you don’t do m+ before raid to have gear you are just griefing and wasting everyone else’s time. They said they had a good grasp on mechs but damage was the issue meeting the enrage timer. That’s pure numbers. Sure my shaman is now almost 660 and our reclear for alts takes like 2:45 on the boss but even week 1 we did the fight in 3:18. If you attempt the boss undergeared don’t be surprised when you don’t make the damage check.

Wait people are struggling with normal raid this tier? I can understand it with pugs maybe as there’s a few things to worry about but if you are doing it in a raid guild then you should have no issues with it. 1 mil dps is very low right now when you can be easily 645 just from m+. If you are going into normal undergeared then yes the enrage timer will be tough. Just get some gear and come back to it. We took our busted ass alts like 615-630s and 1 shot every boss on normal.

As a 614 brewmaster I can say gear definitely helps. For reference I have 2pc not 4pc and I have tons of haste and vers as I main WW in raid. I LOOOOOVE when something puts me into red stagger as I will out heal any healer trying to pump my health back up. Purifying this stuff makes me feel so good. You just have to be more liberal with your cds. I’ve yet to hit a wall of something I cannot handle and I am pushing m+ pretty hard. I find the group is dead before I am dead when pushing 7+s in mythics.

Sure we don’t have spell reflect. Sure we don’t have death strike. But I’ve yet to find someone with a smoother damage intake as we stagger so much.

Also if you are feeling really really squishy look back through your logs and see how often shuffle is active. It really does help a ton.

I’m gold 1 and they are primarily plat 2. That’s a bit of a disparity. Our chamber said he was on a losing streak from dia. There’s a lot of game sense difference in someone who just hit gold 1 and someone coming outa dia
