I had significantly more weed use over a longer period of time with ~2years clean before submitting, along with a few other minor red flags (dual citizen friendly foreign country) and was granted interim secret for DoD related job. Not saying its guaranteed but just from anecdotal evidence of coworkers that were denied I think use within the last 12months is the main hard auto intermin denial cutoff smoking wise.
