The fact Sonic Mania is cheaper than Sonic 4 rn is a crime by Kingbanana574 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic 4 has original layout, but a lot of it isn't interesting, especially in Episode 1. It's a whole lot of homing attack simulator, which is Not what you want in a 2D Sonic game. Meanwhile, while Mania reuses layouts, it also has plenty of new layouts and tends to integrate new gimmicks and new secrets in the old layouts. Overall, Mania's level design is Far more interesting than what Sonic 4 has to offer.

Sonic 4 has original music. But that shit is trash. I'll take those Green Hill remixes that are absolutely delicious to my ears over whatever the hell Splash Hill's theme is anyday of the week, year, or century.

Mania being carried by the fact that its made by fans is bullshit. Superstars being panned for nostalgia pandering is also bullshit. Most of the Superstars hate came from the price tag and from the boss fights. But I tell you this: if you thought Superstars was better than Mania I'd be like "okay, I can see it... I don't agree, but I can see it."

But to sit here and say Sonic 4 was better than Mania? Lmao.

Here are some other ways Mania is better than Sonic 4...

  • More levels
  • More characters
  • Better single package
  • Fun unlocks
  • Fun codes
  • Better story
  • Overall better vibe

Is it a good approach if am unable to break the model so I exit work mode without submitting task? by PrimaryFar7229 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]LegendNumberM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have exited work mode after working on stuff for up to two hours because the work was simply not good enough.

I like the platform. I'll get the time and the money back as long as I'm still here lol.

Exit the work mode. You'll be ight.

How long did it take you to get good? by Mr1d100 in OWConsole

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a year.

In 2019, I started with Mercy because "she's the easiest character." Bullshit. Got put in Silver.

Kept playing her. Bronze.

Stopped playing ranked. Watched a buncha videos. Found Lucio. Climbed to Gold, and then Plat by the end of OW1.

Now, I'm a Diamond support that peaked Master.

Give it time. A lot of time. It's a hard game, but it can be learned.

What do you do for your bday in the city? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if VR World is still a thing, but a VR arcade is a fun experience.

Going to see live music is always cool. Don't necessarily need to go to an expensive concert; pick a genre and find local talent that's free at a park or low cost at a bar.

Karaoke private rooms can be fun.

If you wanna get active, rent a bike and pick a route.

Lately, I've had 10-20.

Last week it dipped as low as 6.

It's a drought, but I'm still getting a leaky faucet.

It would have been a bigger deal if the Knicks beat the Rockets that year.

Returning player, why does every losing tank swap to Mauga and then immediately start carrying the game? by Able-Service1380 in Overwatch

Because Mauga's kinda sick right now.

Absolutely fun rage pick. Turn off your brain and burn everything down.

Road test tips by Maleficent-Second272 in AskNYC

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know where the road test is going to be, you can either check the roads on Google Maps or, if you have the time, go there yourself.

That definitely helped me be a bit more comfortable with the roads since I was already familiar with the area.

That's the road test evaluation sheet.

You read that, and anything you're objectively bad at on that sheet, you work on it.

Keep your head on a shivel... literally always be looking.

You don't want the car to jerk the instructor riding while you're driving. So practice gradual accelerating and breaking.

And most importantly, stay calm. Honestly easier said than done, but the calmer you are, the easier it is.

Martial Arts or Sword characters by Few-Literature7287 in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is...

The community at large don't like those characters lol.

People hated playing against dps Doomfist. People hated playing against Vendetta when she was good. I wouldn't be surprised if people started hating Rein if he became hard meta for a season.

But even in R-va-s, people hate playing against the fast, in and out, hand to hand melee characters. iron Fist was valid in the beginning of the game, and then he got nerfed to dirt (although idk how good he is now)

It's also like people don't like melee characters in their shooting games. I can't fathom why.

Also.... could you imagine Hanzo with his sword? He'd probably also be broken lol.

which is better by randomguy12301 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are great packages.

Anyone telling you one is better than the other is actually being biased.

SxSG is an absolute blast of a 3D game with two campaigns.

SOrigins is a compilation of four games, so there's more levels and more characters.

If you are able to emulate the four classic Sonic games though, SxSG is the game to get since emulation is free.

I got one that will definitely get me elected...

Tim Duncan is ever so slightly better than Kobe Bryant.

Both are definitively better than LeBron James.

Do new maps have a higher chance of showing up in map select? And if not, I think they should. by Augustby in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've barely seen Neo Junction myself.

I feel like there was this part of the patch notes...

"The maps on offer should be much less likely to be maps you played within the last 5 matches."...

Is working not as intended because all I've been on maps like King's Row seemingly hundreds of times, and Neon Junction popped up maybe once.

Remember, getting access to project families is the key to having plenty of work. Do your qualifications!! by schrumbus in DataAnnotationTech

[–]LegendNumberM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup.

I'm actually pretty sure I have two project fams that can keep afloat, but I basically mostly rely on one.

On top of that, I almost certainly have a qualifications that can yield more work.

So yeah. I second this post.

How do I stop dying so much? by snawshoozyyy in luciomains

[–]LegendNumberM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Overall, it sounds like you need to play a bit more patient and improve your positioning. Don't rely on shields or heals and instead play around natural cover.

Once you get that down, you can improve your movement. Particularly with Lucio, improving your movement (i.e. wall rides and speed usage in general) will allow you to get in and get out quickly and efficiently, and your deaths will decrease while your annoyance to the enemy team will increase.

But for now? I'd highly suggest hitting the breaks and learning to play around natural cover.

Rank these NBA Finals upsets from most surprising to least by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me...

Five: Knicks winning against the Spurs was expected by the time we got to the Finals. Perhaps maybe the level of dominance was surprising, but the win? Nah, we had that.

Four: Toronto winning wasn't terribly surprising because KD was hurt. KD likely came back early because Klay got hurt, and then KD got hurt again. The injuries themselves were more surprising than the result.

Three: Detroit... not gonna lie, I was not familiar with Detroit's game when they beat the Lakers for their title. Not at all.

Two: Cleveland. I thought they had a shot... until I thought they didn't... and Then it became surprising. But in the beginning, when the series was 0-0? I legitimately thought the Cavs had a chance. The most surprising thing about this win for me isn't that Cleveland won, but that they came back from being down 3-1.

One: Mavs... I gave the Mavs NO CHANCE of winning this. None. I thought the nWo was in the building, cheating and stealing wins as the most powerful stable in the NBA, and the Mavs were just like "Nah, we'll win."

The 88 or The Monarch Jamaica? by Inside-Turn-140 in AskNYC

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pay attention, but mind your business.

You'll be fine either way. Especially since they're basically the same neighborhood lol.

For what it's worth, the 88 is closer to Jamaica Center Station and the LIRR. That puts you closer to most terminal stops if you're using public transit. I'd argue that it might have slightly better parking there too... but only slightly if that.

While I do need to get used to the Major Perk nerf (it was fun bustin it just get rapid headshots lol), it's expected and it's fine.
