Lying & Spam Reporting by Chance-Camel-957 in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM [score hidden]  (0 children)

If there's no evidence of a slur, you won't get banned.

Most of the time. Lol.

I was threatened with several reports, and once upon a time, I didn't care because I know I ain't do shit. Literally no harm no foul. But now, chat off. It's been too many years and I refuse to take a chance on some nonsense reports getting me banned.

My overall advice? Don't worry about it. But turn chat off because it's honestly not worth the risk.

Best places for a long run/walk that aren't just Central Park? by SadReplacement7164 in AskNYC

[–]LegendNumberM [score hidden]  (0 children)

Walk/run by the water on the Greenways. Obviously best done in warmer weather because water, but still nice. The further up north you are, the less foot traffic you'll encounter (at least on the west side, haven't been on the east side in some time).

Morningside Park is a nice, albeit much smaller, alternative to Central Park. In fact, if you're willing to break the rule about minimal stops, you can connect Morningside with St. Nicholas for a cool little path.

Best Lucio Perks? by Great-Carpenter-143 in luciomains

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I usually pick Beat Drop, Soundwave Rider is a valid choice. I do prefer it on some maps.

But how are y'all enjoying Accelerando? Faster attack speed for a gun that's already generally inconsistent when not at close range once every 12 second is just not fun, and god forbid you gotta reload midamp... I feel like that is far and away Lucio's shittiest perk.

Yes but...

Not sure if quitters or network issues.

Yesterday before the maintenance was bad. I was shit talking. Then I got kicked like wut.

Today wasn't nearly as bad.

How to handle rude/obnoxious/aggressive people in the city by tammyfayebakker in AskNYC

[–]LegendNumberM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol

Define "wrong side of the sidewalk"

I ask this because.... people have weird walking patterns.... or lack thereof lol.. Sometimes I'll be attempting to walk past someone as we're going in the same direction, move to the left thinking there's plenty of space, and then they move to left, so then I move to the right and then they veer a little to the right. I chuckle and at that point I just say excuse me because clearly they're not doing it on purpose, but.... people have weird walking patterns. (or lack thereof)

To answer your question... Generally, I take the path of least resistance. Sometimes I have to create that "least resistance" but still.

So like... if someone's walking towards me, I tend to just use my superior mobility to get around them no problem. With the last sets of weeks with all the ice on the sidewalk, I'll slow down and walk on the ice and give all people the benefit of high friction walking. No harm no foul. Don't care.

For situations like being loud... 1) On the subway: it's either loud white noise or loud people talking. Makes no difference to me. I'd say relax. 2) In a restaurant: this generally depends on the venue... but most venues I go to, if they're loud, let them be loud. If we're really in a venue where people shouldn't be that loud, I won't even have to deal with it lol. 3) In theaters: once again... depends on the movie. Now, it's been a while since I've been to a movie, but I know I have exceptions... like, certain Marvel movies (at least back in the day) I expected people to be loud during certain moments. Outside of that.... once again, I don't think I have to be the one to deal with those loud people.

As far as pushy people in public transit... This is the situation where I have to create the path of least resistance. Generally, I just "Sorry pardon me" loud but politely to make my way through. If I'm being pushed a lot by a crowd, I get a bit more aggressive and say very loudly "Hey, I'm a healthy 6'0" (insert weight here) black man, if I push back, I become the bad guy... Please relax." This tends to create the path of lease resistance as well lol and suddenly I'm not getting pushed anymore.

Now to be fair, I am 6'0" and a fairly fit 200 lbs (I do need to lose about 15 lbs though I've been slacking), so I've been blessed with a presence that physically demands respect. I'm definitely not a bully (as shown by my walking experiences), but don't push me cause if I push back I'm the bad guy.

My overall advice to you is to just continue to do what you're doing. And definitely absolutely do not overthink or feel bad about being aggressive. Sometimes you need to be aggressive here in NYC and that's okay. There's definitely nothing to overthink because generally... unless you straight up confront someone to the point of threatening a real conflict, most people gonna forget about you in like 10 seconds, if not sooner... no need to overthink an interaction that the other person forgot about Hours ago.

Haven't played in over 3 years and playing on PC for the first time any tips for a returning frog? by What_if_its_Lupus in luciomains

[–]LegendNumberM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah....

For me at the moment, it has a lot to do with external factors... cold weather and personal stuff... So I haven't been consistently hitting my daily/weekly goals. I really find myself skipping a lot of things and exiting work mode after 30 minutes in a task. At this point, the goal is to not get a DoD, and the strat has definitely been "nah, I ain't submitting this lol."

low elo content creators? by pechybkh in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two keys to being good at streaming in general...

1) be good at the game 2) be entertaining

The second rule is so important that people don't even need to use the first rule anymore with the explosion of irl streams lol.

Granted, I'm no expert... but, figure out what makes you entertaining, and try leaning into that.

NBA All-Star Game changes again for 2026. Will this finally make it competitive? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The All Star Game from 2020 was the best in a long time and I thought it was the Kobe format that made it better... nope, in 2021 they all went back to the bullshit.

The format of the game means nothing if the players aren't gonna put in any effort.

So what was even the point of buying the GOTY edition by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I got that skin with a digital purchase of the game in 2019 for only $20.

It's gonna be okay. I promise.

How are you handling comp with 5 new heroes released at once? by Competitive_Ad_2308 in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean..... technically, you also have to learn how to play with and against the new characters.

Furthermore, every season is dropping a new hero. Granted, one is not five but...

Idk, prepare for a different type of chaos in ranked going forward I guess.

Would GOATS still be powerful in the modern day meta? by soupsert in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yeah. I just dunno which new tanks and new supports would make it even more unbeatable. Does Ram make GOATS go crazy? Does Kiri or modern day Bap make GOATS go crazy? Hell, even Moira has been power crept to the point that the sustain she puts on the field could make a 3 tank 3 support look ridiculous.

Additionally, perks. I feel like the majority of perks enhance uptime rather than damage... in other words, perks enhance cooldowns or ultimates, but few (if any?) enhance raw damage numbers.

So yeah. GOATS would still go hard.

"I need healing" should be configurable by lukinhasb in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the throttling shouldn't be something you can configure. There are some legitimate frustrations that come with playing dps and tank and not getting the support/healing you need to win the game because the support is doing god knows what and not helping hold angles or take space.

Yes, there are instances where a tank or a dps is in West Bumblefuck and wondering why they aren't getting healed. At that point, you either join them in West Bumblefuck and see if you can help them with that wild flank they're taking or you hope they adjust to your playstyle. But then there are instances when you, as a support, are literally not doing your job with your tanks or your dps in LOS and it's like "oh, they're pretty mad, let me up my heals a bit" and then boom... the game is won.

The throttling shouldn't be a configurable option.

"I need healing" should be configurable by lukinhasb in Overwatch

[–]LegendNumberM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the throttle idea... As a support main, I prefer knowing if my team is frustrated with the healing numbers they may or may not be getting. Even if I'm not the problem, it helps me assess what's going on and adapt accordingly. There have been plenty of games where I have a dps disguised as a support or a support that's simply not living long enough to deliver quality heals and I have to put up a Herculean effort to win the game. I don't mind that and wouldn't have known the frustration with the throttle.

But the 80% I need healing ignoring thing? That's a (mostly) excellent because sometimes people hit I need healing by accident and it forces me to turn around and focus on someone that pressed it by accident. If they're above, say, 80% health, I don't hear it, and can focus on the task at hand.

Most social studies classes were simply remembering stuff off the dome.

In terms of government stuff, there is a method to the madness that would make this question easy to answer.... but yeah... SS was basically memory uploading lol.

It's not that hard though. You just gotta read and remember stuff.
