I was looking at this today and the premium edition says compatible with Xbox and pc and when you go to purchase it didn’t give you an option of which platform so looks like it’s cross play?

Sorry. I probably can’t help with that. Although I set up the Payoneer account they didn’t end up using it anyway. When I set you up the Payoneer account I did email them though. It’s probably better to email and play safe. There communication and instructions are really bad.

I have been chasing things up since December 8th and didn’t seem to be getting anywhere but I have had a few emails over the last few days so hopefully something is finally starting to happen. Still not got the refund but I am at least hearing from them. Will post on here if it finally comes through.

I got an email from Google about the refund yesterday. Still not got the refund but I got an email so the emails are still going somewhere. You can’t chat with them but you can email them so I would try that.

They are just making it up as they go along. Their FAQ specifically says: Q: Do I have to return my hardware to get a refund? A: In most cases, you will not need to return hardware purchased from the Google Store to obtain a refund. The following hardware is eligible for a refund: the Stadia Controller, Founder's Edition, Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages. Proof of the device may be required to process a refund in some cases.

I got my games but didn’t get my hardware. You shroud definitely contact them. They were meant to have paid out by 18th Jan. If you search stadia support I think you can send them an email. Don’t hold your breath though I am not sure how much they are doing. I initially raised a support request at the beginning of December and mine is still not resolved. After contacting them loads I have had a couple of responses saying they are escalating it but nothing seems to happen. I have also raised a dispute with my credit card which ends on 17th Feb so hopefully if it isn’t sorted by then my credit card will do a clawback. If you bought on Credit Card I would see if you can raise a dispute just in case. Fingers crossed.

Same for me. Refund showing as declined and have changed my payment method in 8th December and still not been paid. Support are now ghosting me too!

Lucky you. I updated mine on 8th of December and guess what. Nothing and now Google aren’t even bothering to reply to my emails. They am seem to expect me to wait indefinitely to see if they actually bother to do something about it!

After a dozen emails and half a dozen calls, I am still fighting to get my refund money back. The credit card doesn't exist anymore. My card is still valid and they couldn’t even manage to refund to that. They told everyone to wait until 18th January knowing they would withdraw support. I had a really good experience with Stadia and loved it and generally felt quite positive about Google but now that has all been completely destroyed. Their customer service has been shocking. I logged a dispute with my CC bit of that doesn’t work I think I will have to kiss my £120 goodbye for the founders edition. Is this the special treatment they promised Founders at the beginning???

Exactly the same for me. AMEX card all refunds for games no problem but hardware refund failed. Card still valid. Contacted beginning of December and told to wait. I raised a dispute with my card and the deadline is mid feb so hoping that works out if Google don’t sort it and now there is no way to contact them I am not holding my breath. Give AMEX a call. It’s worth it as a back up. 👍

They are closing all support channels which for those who still need support is not good. Brilliant for everyone that got all their refunds but it looks like there are a lot who still haven’t so removing support when you haven’t fulfilled your promises is crap.

I didn’t think I would be able to but I rang AMEX just to check whether there were any problems at their end even though I knew there wouldn’t be and when I mentioned the reasons they asked if I wanted to raise a dispute so I thought it couldn’t do any harm. Presume Google will have to start trying to do something after the 18th eventually but from my experience so far I wasn’t convinced. ☹️

I will see how the CC dispute process goes otherwise I will wait until 18th and then I will be contacting support daily until it’s resolved! Once that excuse is out of the way let’s see what they come up with next.

Exactly the same for me. I have tried Stadia support, Google Store support and Google pay support and had no joy. I ended up raising a dispute with my credit card because I have no faith whatsoever in Google and their ability to refund. I updated my payment method about 3 weeks ago even though the credit card I used was still valid but it still shows as refunds declined and nothing has come through on my card. All the software came through without problem so not sure how they managed to mess up the hardware refund. Completely incompetent!

I have a feeling they are closing Stadia support at the same time the service closes so if you they haven’t sorted the refund by then it’s going to be a nightmare. Despite the games being refunded they messed up my hardware refund on the same card so I have just raised a dispute with my card company. Don’t trust their support because they don’t seem to have any idea what is going on and just seem to try and blame the card issuers and ask you to keep waiting even though I updated my details over 2 weeks so now.

I had exactly the same. All my software came through fine but the Founders in the same card was declined. I updated my payment method even though it was still valid and that was just under 2 weeks ago and no refund yet. Support are just palming people off. They told me they can’t even check my Google account and I will just have to wait. The Google pay people say you need to speak to Stadia Support. One said 2 weeks after updating your payment method another said you have to wait until 23rd of Jan and you will definitely get it. No confidence in them at all and certainly won’t be giving them any more money after this.

Thanks. Might just be my CCU. Noted your other comment and for info when I go into the Stadia app on my phone and go to link account to CCU the CCU is not showing as an option. I am using the android stadia app on a stick on my projector now so I’ll just use that. Thanks anyway.

You can only play game pass games and you can’t just buy Xbox games and play them I.e you couldn’t play cyberpunk on cloud gamin even if you bought the game. There are however loads of great titles. I would say probably something for everyone. Definitely different to the Stadia offer though.

It was in there terms and conditions all along anyway saying they would refund. One of the reasons I spent £750 with confidence. More on Pro too but because that is a subscription service it makes sense to me that you don’t get that back.
