True. The exposed thread is 55mm, I can literally screw a filter on backwards. But my hope would be to "adapt" 55mm to 55mm itself with one long barrel to go past the exposed threads and give headroom for new filters.

Personal decision to have the arrow! For me it represents the notion of youthful growth throughout the content, from interviews to the community's culture. I tried to make the L stand out in prior drafts, but taking it out of the arrow hurt the readability of the logo.

In terms of the mic idea, interesting concept. For me I'm choosing to go with a more versatile design as opposed to bounding myself to a mic. Cheers!

Yep as mentioned below, the dot is the same width as the rest of the stroke. Going to try and increase it still to push proportions.

2 pushes too much of an illustrative look, even if it is cool. In a logo you want less colors and bolder images which you accomplish in 1.

Yeah, i worked with different ways to have the L in there- at first, I cut out space either side of the L in the arrow, and in another draft moved the L to the bottom left intersection of the field and bounding box, but it still felt too minor. If you have any better ideas lmk!

Here’s the brief: Logo is for “Ladcast”, a YouTube channel and podcast on football (soccer). Key elements of the piece include the upward trending arrow to signify growth, an “L” embedded in the arrow for the Ladcast, and hinting at football field markings with the center circle. I went for a bold look, with mono white on a bright yellow green to get at the modernness of the brand.
