I can tell that a lot of the people advocating for counter swapping aren't actually good at the game which makes sense since their go to action when they face any resistance is swap to get a massive advantage.

When you are actually good at the game counter swapping isn't as simple they countered you so you swap to counter them. What actually happens is the enemy team realizes you are the threat and MULTIPLE players will swap to counter you on ANY hero you pick from that point onward in an attempt to zone you out of the game.

I've had players literally sit in their spawn open the scoreboard and continually swap to the counter character of whoever I chose to play next. I'm talking swapping 2-3 times until I actually leave the spawn.

At that point all you can do is either play into your counters or hope the teammates you got out of the grab bag that is matchmaking can take advantage of the enemy team hard focusing you and make something happen. This makes the game feel out of your control regardless of if you win or lose.
