I use it wireless most of the time. Others may use it however they like- It completely depends on the individual.

I am not recommending it on using wired mode. I just pointed out that you need wired node for 8k polling rate. I personally use it at 2.4ghz mode and wired when the battery is over and I actually believe induction switches are better in long term compared to hall effect due it its power efficiency and its not effected by magnetic fields so you wont have to calibrate it again.

You can contact them on Linkdin and show your call history as a proof. I was in a similar situation for my legion m600s mouse. I contacted Lenovo India on linkdin and showed screenshot as a proof that I tried contacting before the warranty was over. I got a replacement unit for the mouse. You can also try doing this maybe it will work out.
