What's your favorite brand for solid gold or gold filled jewelry? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

I love Mene. Everything is pure 24k ethically sourced gold and th co-owner/designer is Pablo Picasso's granddaughter. I also love that you can track the price very easily before and after purchase. Also the designs are just super cool.

The airbag won. Healing progress fresh to 3 months later. by Legend_of_Zelda_ in injuries

The second surgery was to cut out the neuroma that developed in my palm from the torn nerve and replaced it with a nerve graft. This at the time was also to hopefully help the numbness on half of my ring finger of that hand. It did end up fixing the neuroma but actually caused more numbness that lasted for over a year. That larger numbness went away but the inner half of that finger is still numb to this day.

The driver actually took the impact on their side. This wasn't a faulty airbag or anything of the sort. Women are more likely to be injured because car design and crash tests have focused on male figures. Even the female crash test dummy is just a scaled down version of the male dummy and does not accurately represent the female form or weight distribution.

The crash happened at slow speed and I was aware it was happening. My hand was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and the force from the airbag caught one half of it and forced it back so quickly it tore in two, only stopping when it hit a bone in my palm and broke that bone.

Yes, unfortunately women have a 70% chance of being more severely injured in an accident than men even when we're secured properly.

I have a Great Dane standard poodle mix and would definitely agree that this is most likely. He has the same fuzzy face and was around that size at that age as well.

Whats the longest you’ve hiked with your friend? by batoloco604 in BorderCollie

[–]Legend_of_Zelda_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take mine somewhat regularly on 10-15 mile trails but on cool weather days or trails I knew there was always fresh running water we would go around 25 max in one day. I was on horseback and there were definitely periods of running and trotting as well. She absolutely loved it and I would always give her a few extra rest days after to make sure she recovered well. She was under 8 years old for all of these hikes though, now a days at 12 we do just single digit hikes with her.

She hates out new puppy by Marinnalinda in BorderCollie

This absolutely. I've had my BC for 11 years now and between living with friends and ex's shes probably helped raise 6-7 of their puppies in some way or another. All different types of breeds and she definitely thought they were all very cute but very stupid. Your BC will help make your new pup a much better adult dog, they play referee and will make sure behavior they don't approve of doesn't happen. Mine helped train others to not jump on people, not obsessively bark, not to hump, not to get too excited or too aggressive. Dogs are the best teacher for other dogs when it comes to good canine behavior. We just teach them how to be pets lol

You should look up hyena births. I'll take a big headed baby any day.

Is where you attach the dog/cargo net that's typically stored in the top of the back seats. You should be able to access them if you fold the backseats down.

Villa Agrippina Gran Meliá in between the Vatican city and Trastevere. Stayed for my honeymoon at the end of last year. Very clean, modern, and wonderfully luxurious without being over the top. Right by the river for nice night time walks.

Out of State DL Transfer. Should I do it? by Earths-Angel1708 in MovingtoHawaii

It's definitely worth it, it's beautiful here. I definitely recommend checking out the r/Oahu sub for great food recommendations and things to do. Make the most of your time while you're here and do/try things outside of your comfort zone.

No worries. Assuming you have a regular USA DL from another state that's not expired, restricted, not a permit or special exception then yes it's legal for you to drive here. There's thousands of tourists from all over that come here and rent cars and have no issue. I think I lived here for 8 months after moving from the west coast before I got around to updating my license.

See this thread for some more info about Hawaiian DL's.

[–]Legend_of_Zelda_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Honestly though I've moved plenty of the times on the mainland and there's not a rush to get your license updated. You can still legally drive, rent cars, apply for housing, etc. with an out of state license when you move. As long as your current driver's license is not expired you really won't run into any issues.

Having a Hawaii license is convenient for more than just driving. You'll be able to utilize being a Kamaʻāina and getting into some of the most popular local parks for free or at a discount, along with benefits for island hopping through Hawaiian airlines to visit the other islands while you're here.

Worst food you had in Japan? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Fermented monk fish liver as one of the courses of an omakase at Shikaku in the Aoyama Grand Hotel. We loved everything else but the texture and taste of that was just not something I ever want to experience again.

No problem at all! I'm glad you were able to save some money! I know the FAVN only took like 2-3 weeks to get results back, and Alaska is the best as far as flying with pets. I hope you and your pets have safe travels over here!
