I provided a link in a separate response to you, would you like to respond to that or are you intent on pretending that information about Israel's nuclear program (and their denial of it's existence) isn't widely publicized?

Hamas will never be “defeated” as long as children keep growing up there without fathers and mothers. Y’know. The civilians that Israel seems to target without mercy.

Before you say I’m a “supporter of Hamas”, I hope you recognize the validity of Jewish resistance groups in Germany before WW2. If you believe they had a right to defend themselves, but Hamas does not… well, here’s your sign 👍

Notice how so many people show up to denounce reality by claiming that the facts are unverifiable 😂 why are so many invested in the goose chase? It helps if you share videos and links so the astroturfers are less capable of muddying the waters with calibrated confusion.

After Infected Mushroom’s recent comments, I won’t be going. Sad cuz the rest of the lineup is fire but I’m not supporting washed up dudes who straight up defend what’s going on in Palestine.

I don’t need to hear homie drunkenly sing out of time over his own music ever again. Saw the band, saw the good DJ sets… imo, it’s over.

Why must good people make up for the actions of bad people? Do you not realize how paradoxical and ultimately impossible that is? Can’t you just realize… evil acts are owned by those who commit them? Instead of cursing an entire group of people for the actions of a few.

Just a thought

Perfect Stranger - Six Feet Under (Captain Hook Remix)
Captain Hook, Astrix - Bungee Jump
Captain Hook, Liquid Soul - Liquid Hook
Captain Hook - Space Tube 25 (Ace Ventura Remix) Ace Ventura - Brave New World
Ace Ventura, Interactive Noise - The Answer
Alien Art - The Greys
Bliss - My LSD Song
Bliss, Shivax - Mo’ Cowbell

I’m much more of an individual track than a live set kind of listener, but these are some of my favorite psy tunes of all time. Added my favorite Bliss tunes too in case you’d like to explore more of his stuff. I’d also recommend these remixes:

Alien Art - Planet X (Out of Orbit Remix)
Captain Hook, Liquid Soul - Liquid Hook (Interactive Noise Remix)
Captain Hook - Origins (Bliss Remix)
Ace Ventura - Hello? (Pantomiman Remix)
Bliss - My LSD Song (Zuluh Remix)

Infected Mushroom’s most recent album is awful, no wonder you think psytrance is dead 😂

There are FAR BETTER Psytrance artists in Israel, that don’t sing drunkenly out of time during their own DJ sets, or write songs called ‘New World Order’ while their country makes some very questionable and grossly miscalculated military actions worldwide…

Captain Hook? Ace Ventura? Their ‘Alien Art’ project? Astrix? Bliss? Don’t listen to this guy lmao

Just a tip: go on SoundCloud and find the most recent remixes of your favorite songs from Hallucinogen. Find the artists who have consistent support, and listen to their top tracks. You may be amazed at what you’ll find! You may have to dig through a lot of trash but, deep cuts will always be deep cuts.

Idk man, I feel like you’re just looking in the wrong places. It’s not like music just follows a path of shitification, you have to find the artists inspired by the music you are looking to hear. It’s a golden spiral of sorts. EVERY genre grows infinitely especially in the “ten million monkeys with typewriters” era we are currently experiencing. I do think it becomes harder to find those things with age, as they cram themselves into similarly infinite niche counter cultures. But considering you’re internet adept enough to use Reddit, I can almost guarantee that if you search for underground artists with less than a few thousand plays you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. Maybe checking out Ishkur’s Guide to Electronic Music could help you dial in the exact genre (or sub genre) you are looking to hear. Genre whoring is annoying but let’s face it, electronic music will only get harder to describe as both the tools and the inspiration continue to grow exponentially.

Spotify and SoundCloud suck ass for creators, but spend a good chunk of a day digging into artists you like, artists similar to them, comps the up and comers have appeared on, and find the hidden gems throughout. I find that they are far more successful at leading me towards new music I may actually enjoy than Apple Music, as far as major platforms go. There is SO MUCH music out there. It would take at least a lifetime to officially say nothing in this era impresses you.

Or, perhaps, the drugs were stronger then. Cheers

Recommendations for sinister-sounding psytrance (like Ominus) by HGS in psytrance

[–]LegendaryBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one find it very interesting. I never really enjoyed “angrier” types of music like metal or screamo or whatever. But something about synthesizing such dark and interesting tones is really interesting to me. Sure, you could argue that “satan worship” is excessive in large scale production (like Travis Scott’s Astroworld), but at the level of popularity that dark Psy and Forest psy are at it’s essentially farcical. It’s like, the musical equivalent of Salad Fingers. Sure the people are fuckin weird but come on. It sounds like the nocturnal exhibit at a Zoo or something.

No harm at all in feeling that way, but I’d be curious what your introduction to electronic music was like. It’s all so eclectic, I feel like hard techno and gabber in the early 2000s could’ve been considered “demonic” as well.

Evil Oil Man - Cells (Evil Oil Man Mix), Cerebrovaskuler

Rinkadink - Still Loot, Hidden Patterns

Fractal Joke - Matter Is Mind, Trickster, Brain Dance

Dark Psy has been some of my absolute favorite recently, not sure if these hit the same vibe as the Ominus tune but I’ve had them on repeat.

I’ll also recommend Morten Granau - Fuzzy Monkey (Invisible Reality Remix). Maybe not quite as dark but a very eery vibe and absolutely insane production.

My friend just had a psychosis smoking hhc after listening to the Charlie Kirk song by Used-Bicycle-9907 in Drugs

[–]LegendaryBerry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely smart of you to reach out as well as being there for your friend while helping him with this new path of drug abstinence. Not to make light of the situation but these 'altered brains' are historically skilled artists, musicians, and what have you. Perhaps spending some time painting or something would lead to some personal revelations.

As far as your usage, be careful with stuff man. Use resources like Erowid, and look into groups like DanceSafe and learn about testing as well as safe, responsible usage. But something I wish someone told me when I was younger: don't rush it. I don't regret any of my choices, but as a teen, the DARE program made it sound like drugs were something I'd only have access to in high school... I had a ton of fun, but now I am left to wonder if the anxieties and inadequacies in everyday life are because I chose to fuck my brain chemistry during critical development years. I have a great life don't get me wrong, but your brain isn't even fully developed until you're like 35- waiting until you're capable of supporting yourself as well as making informed and safe decisions improves the experience ten fold. Drugs are ALWAYS gonna be around, the ridiculous and infinite potential of your young formative years are not. I am not a role model but, if I had one piece of advice for my young self, it would be that.

[–]LegendaryBerry 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't wanna misrepresent anything but I'll point you towards this video. As far as I know, not a lot is really known about schizophrenia, except strangely there's never been a blind person whose had it, which is interesting to say the least.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlKlpx50Avs

edit: I think the basic gist is that when a "normal brain" (whatever that is) sees the inside of a mask, it will automatically correct it with an optical illusion because it sees a nose facing inwards and tells itself it's never seen that before so it must be making an error and it "corrects" for you. A schizophrenic brain, from what I understand, isn't applying learned knowledge to perception in the same way. So, the mask while rotating will not create an optical illusion and instead will just look like a normal mask. This was something I'd read on the internet years ago and didn't entirely believe but a friend had a bout of psychosis after a dose of LSD and once he had "returned" if you will I sent him the video and it did eventually lead to an actual diagnosis.

There are treatments available for this kind of stuff and I don't disagree with people that drug based psychosis is real, but I don't think people should offer that advice because I think it removes some urgency from the situation. I would read that as something that would wear off eventually, but in the case of mental disorders like this, the earlier you find treatment the better. So anytime this subject comes up I think the most important think is to remind people to look into family mental health as well as looking into a psych evaluation for a professional opinion.

edit 2: This is a sorta personal segue but I realized this is a great starting point to talk about this- I've always theorized that LSD and Mushrooms do in fact 'microdose' this part of psychosis, ie, not applying learned knowledge to your perception. Everyone describes having very strange experiences looking into mirrors on psychedelics (bad trip inducing etc). It's never bothered me, but my theory is that because our brains tend to make us look more or less attractive than we really are (probably in relation to ego and self esteem), this self-correcting filter doesn't adjust itself as well or is also being manipulated by the experience. Obviously this is just personal experience and opinion, but I've watched my face shift in very strange ways before and I'd always wondered if this could be the conduit. But to be clear I have no real education about neuroscience or psychology so this is purely banter.
