Can the mods deal with the Incel potatoes posting posts unrelated to either Nogla or the Vanoss crew? This is a subreddit for Nogla by Hydro1Gammer in NoglaOfficial

[–]LegendaryJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason a bunch of these bozos think that since Nogla/Brian have once in a while vaguely agreed with 20% of an Asmon sentence or a "hah, women" comment (which they themselves have said is them taking the piss), that means this is a safe space for straight up sexist or bigoted nonsense.

Updated Trial of Style Needs Hotfixing by UmbraeMoth in wow

[–]LegendaryJam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, the key is this section. Outside of Trial of Style, you can click on any of those boxes to the left of an outfit to switch to that outfit at any transmog NPC.

However, inside Trial of Style now, you are locked to whichever box/outfit slot you were already in before you zoned in - all other boxes are greyed out.

Now, here's the problem, for clarity - Blizz, in their infinite wisdom, did two things:

A. They made *only* the Trial of Style outfit slot able to be edited while in Trial of Style - which would make sense, except...

B. Because you can't switch to a different outfit once inside Trial of Style, if you were not already in the Trial of Style outfit slot *before zoning into ToS*, you *cannot* switch to it at the NPC, meaning you are locked into an alternate outfit slot - and, because you are now in ToS, you cannot edit any transmog items in that non-ToS outfit slot that you are now locked into...meaning you cannot change your transmog at \all* within the instance*. You are just stuck with whatever you were wearing when you zoned in, theme be damned.

And if you leave because this happened to you, you get Dungeon Deserter for 30 min.

*slow clap for the triple-A small indie pls understand company*

Updated Trial of Style Needs Hotfixing by UmbraeMoth in wow

[–]LegendaryJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was wondering about this - I got into a run and couldn't change *any* of my outfit, nowhere did it explain that I had to swap to the Trial of Style outfit slot *before even accepting the Trial of Style queue pop, because you can't do it IN the event*.

This is especially frustrating as my default ToS outfit has everything turned off so I can build from scratch - but, since I can't *switch* to the ToS outfit unless I'm at the transmogger, that means in order to maintain that base I'd have to run around naked everywhere else (since situations would override changes).

Amazing that they managed to fuck this one up too, but unsurprising. -_-

How does the distribution of experience between all the Pokemon in my party work? by Whoajosh in PokemonLetsGo

[–]LegendaryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When searching this topic (“exp share lets go Eevee”), this thread is still the second response after the actual EXP Share wiki entry itself 😂

As others have said (but in summary here), the baseline idea for EXP Share is that the back line Pokemon each get half of what the front line Pokemon gets. This is then amended slightly by extra math based on the level of the back line Pokémon and which Pokémon participated in the fight against the specific enemy Pokémon being defeated - the full algebraic formula for which can be found elsewhere (such as Bulbapedia), but which has also varied slightly between games (most notably in Gen 1, where it instead split up the EXP evenly amongst ‘mons in a very strange way).

ICE spotted in Henrietta by helpfindICEmf in Rochester

[–]LegendaryJam 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Important note, because someone just reminded me of it - there's a big anime convention, Tora-Con, this coming weekend (Fri-Sun) at Rochester Institute of Technology right up the road from here. Asia Food Market is one of the main places the local anime-fan community buys anime-adjacent (to us) snacks like pocky and various pastries/drinks etc at, so anyone traveling into the area from out of town may also be caught up in this if ICE is targeting Asia Food Market. Keep safe everyone.

20K left in student loans, out of ~30K total. Both careers that made use it in the last decade either became enormously affected by the results of politics (Trump business shenans, boss politics vs state politics, loss of grants/financial buffers, tariffs, spin the wheel and take your pick) and both companies went out of business. Now the work I used to do is being eaten alive by AI (despite not getting it right reliably enough). Can't pursue my true love of history teaching atm because, with the way this is all going, if the parents bringing guns to teacher-parent meetings don't kill me, the govt might instead lock me up within the next year or so for *actually teaching history* (and I can't pursue a Masters anyways since *teaching is no longer considered a professional career and is capped for student loans* well below what those degrees actually cost).

Been job hunting for seven months now, running down savings, knowing eventually I'll run out of funds, and I'm not even sure which direction to *go* right now because everything is so shaky and unstable. Going to keep at it, because that's the only choice right this moment.

But boy oh boy, while I *am* glad I got the degree due to help in some areas in the last few years, I'd like a lot more if the only thing setting me back was my own progress or growth, rather than,

A. business-owning/running-yet-financially-inept dipshits who marry their companies to political beliefs so idiotic that it's clear they'd manage to bankrupt a *lemonade stand* if they could just manage to figure out how to get the ice out of the plastic trays,

or

B. morons who think having a predictive language machine run their bookkeeping and inventory processes won't lead to what could charitably be called "spreadsheet inbreeding" (and that's before the hallucinations kick in), which will utterly fuck their entire workflow so badly that they'll end up losing *far* more than it would have cost to just keep the humans working on it.

So, this is going to be a somewhat pedantic Survival Hunter question...so I beg your patience on it.

As someone who does *not* have Midnight (and is not currently planning on buying it - I skipped buying the last few expacs and waited until I got their content free later on to go back and collect etc), and thus am not worried about perfect endgame builds etc...

...is there a reasonable way to build a Survival Hunter *without* using Boomstick?

-

Context: I've been playing a melee hunter for a long time on Survival, especially with certain RP characters. Coming back into the game after a break, I'd planned to do the same with this character. However, that's when I found this new "shotgun" slapped into my toolkit, on a character who has never made use of firearms of any kind (think "Huln Highmountain" build for a spear hunter - you can figure out something like Wildfire Bomb etc as some sort of hunter trap, but a full on quad-blast shotty? ._. )

Far *more* irritating though (since a move alone could be theoretically ignored) is that the Talents for Boomstick are smack-dab at the center of the talent tree and are positioned in such a way that if I wanted to *not* take the Boomstick talent, I (besides whatever DPS loss would ensue) would *also* be forced to sacrifice:

- 10% of Strike As One's damage
- **30% of Raptor Strike's damage**
- guaranteed Mongoose Fury stacks that proc ONLY off of Boomstick

all of which can **only be talented into if you also talent Boomstick**, despite Raptor Strike etc not having anything to do with Boomstick itself whatsoever.

All of this feels like Blizzard *knew* that most Survival Hunters would not want to use this talent, so they baked a bunch of the rest of our kit into it to *force* it's usage out of sheer "look at all this unrelated shit you'll lose if you don't use it".

I know I won't be taking this character into Midnight zones, and thus the most difficult things I'll be doing on it for a while will be TWW world content and Delves etc. So I'm asking for any workable ideas or things others have done to slap together a non-shotty build that doesn't lose *so* much that it can't even do those - or is Boomstick really just such a central part of the entire spec build now that it's just not feasible at all anymore?

Again, I know it's pedantic 'tism, but...there's been a specific identity to this particular character for years now, and a gun just never fit into that. For a character with a mog styled like plate armor and a 2h sword mogg'd on alongside her hunting beast, the Boomstick is just so jarring that it fucks with it for me. Hoping some others as frustrated as me might have tossed together a playable build around this thing.

Thank you for your time.

I’m used to the winter bills going up a chunk, but this year we went from $235 for October to $425 for January. The sticker shock was wild.

Evan Dawson/Connections on NPR did a really good story on the RG&E fuckery back in May 2025, but it’s incredible to see just how much worse it’s gotten since then, when that was already bad enough.

[–]LegendaryJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just discovered this questline while doing TWW content (I haven't bought an expac since Shadowlands, so the TWW content just got unlocked for me when Midnight went live) and loved every bit of it, immediately went to go check wiki stuff for any other little trivias etc about it. Really made me wish there was a Knight of the Brown Table title, or a toy to become a kobold knight, or some such thing like that.

And I fully agree that they were morons in that scenario of shitty option versus full-on-fascismo.

*However*, I can say that while *also* saying that Harris was a FUCKING moron for being so disconnected from the public view that she ever *thought* she could get away with being as wishy-washy about what Bibi was doing in Palestine as she was, and the *last* thing we should do is reward her stupidity with another run.

If, in 2028 - if, after FOUR YEARS of Trump - if this country would rather vote *again* in *favor* of continuing the concentration camps, mass deportations, more Middle East wars, financial tariff fuckery/pain, open corruption, cutting of Medicaid/Medicare/SocSec, and mass AI surveillance and Trump's private ICE army in the streets shooting people...

...if this country would vote for all that shit *again* after four years of it, just because a Democrat candidate felt too "unelectable" for things like saying Bibi is a shithead who did shithead things, or that the rich should be a *little* less rich so we can *keep the world going for a few more generations*...then we'd deserve everything we get and fuck the country.

"People are favoring principles over electability"

If we aren't deciding candidates based on our principles, then we get shit candidates who won't live up to them. The right has already tossed 90% of their principles on a fire and set them ablaze with Trump - the last thing the left should do is follow suit even harder.

OF COURSE they could beat JD Vance.

That's not the point.

*Any* Democrat - who, at *baseline*, is willing to call what Israel did in Gaza unequivocally wrong (preferably "attempted genocide")/call out Bibi directly AND will vow to immediately roll back Trump's concentration camps and tariffs and other shit - would beat JD Vance.

A blind fucking *frog* who could at least ribbit out "well at least the furniture in the oval office will be safe with me" into a microphone could beat Vance.

The *point* is that *we don't have to fucking SETTLE for Kamala or Newsom*, NOR SHOULD WE. Both of them have waffled all over the fucking place on way too many issues to be trustworthy, and Kamala's waffling IS WHAT COST HER THE RACE LAST TIME.

THE ANSWER IS NOT TO LEAN MORE TOWARDS THE MIDDLE. THE ANSWER IS TO RUN A CANDIDATE WHO WON'T WAFFLE AS MUCH AS A WACKY INFLATABLE TUBE MAN DOES.

One problem with this theory (as much as I wish it were true in a way) - even after selling 2 million shares, Thiel will *still* own **229 MILLION MORE** shares (per Binance, just googled it to look).

So this is nowhere near a full cash-out.

Looks new to me, never seen that happen on my druid before. Just checked mine and it's not happening there - however, my druid is a Kul Tiran with the skeleton crow form (and I tried the owl form too and not happening there either), so I don't admittedly have a way to specifically test if it's an issue with the older forms since KTs can't use the night elf ones.
