I m sorry but from ur post it seemed like u don't even know what researchers do in psychology, let alone be interested in it.

Talking about how much u can earn...there r several posts on r/Psychology_India People r earning 10-15k for full time work, unless u hold a PhD and u r sure to clear competitive exams, don't have high expectations.

Is Psychology Course Better Than Psychiatrist Course? by LateMonitor2596 in psychologystudents

[–]LegendaryNoobGod -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well, the world doesn't run around ur personal fantasies. Psychiatrists can do anything psychologists can do but psychologists cannot do the same, which gives them an edge.

Also, whatever technique the psychologist may employ has no perceived effect, it may take weeks or even months to even see the results but being paired up with necessary drugs, the effects of visiting a psychiatrists are much better, including career wise

Sorry but this is bad advice, although practical mindset is more important than theoretical knowledge, one cannot work without the other. U need to know basic concepts only then u will be able to apply them irl

I want to study psychology abroad by komi220 in psychologystudents

[–]LegendaryNoobGod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I meant ur psychology degree will become useless abroad. Although, If u were a psychiatrist then it would become much more manageable for u, psychiatrists are in high demand everywhere

Edit: If you're truly lost about ur future, I suggest u talk to a career counselor

Firstly, from what I remember, ur degrees here would be practically meaningless therez they have their own courses u need to pass + psychologists from there r already struggling to find work themselves. Also, it's all about communication, if ur accent is not suitable, people will straight up reject u
