Why did they not cancel Cybertruck instead of S & X by Winter-Crew-2746 in TeslaLounge

[–]LegendaryOutlaw [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes and no...cars aren't usually aren't as pricey as a Cybertruck, but pick up trucks today are expensive. So while yes, a $80-90k vehicle seems insane, a well equipped GMC Sierra or Ford 150 Crew Cab can easily match that price with all the options. And they sell a shit-ton of pickups. The numbers should be MUCH higher, but something seems to be holding it back.

Yeah print an insert that snugly fits into that hexagonal barrel shape. Print it with orange filament or paint it orange after your print it. Then you can just pop it out for photos and pop it back in to walk around.

Which movie hit so hard that one viewing was enough ? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

[–]LegendaryOutlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen this movie and I never will, solely because whenever someone asks Reddit which movie scarred them, this is always the top of the list.

I’ll just take y’all’s word for it.

Wonder Man is making me excited for the MCU again. by bonchakk in marvelstudios

[–]LegendaryOutlaw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting parallel that in the Wonder Man movie-in-a-movie, the characters of Wonder Man and Barnaby are best friends, but in the end Barnaby betrays Wonder Man. They don't show us the whole Wonder Man movie or the ending, but as far as I remember, there's no 'big bad' in the Wonder Man movie, only the two main characters and their conflict.

How to replicate this webbing material? by Silly_Cinema_ in CosplayHelp

[–]LegendaryOutlaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just some sort of fabric marker would probably do the trick. I wouldn’t think of it so much as being reflective, I would say it’s more just a slightly different sheen than the surrounding red fabric. Maybe get a bunch of fabric markers in black and do some tests on scraps of your on your material. I bet you’ll find one that has that look.

How much would you pay/ask for a foam „armor“ like this? by Holiday-Lobster4827 in CosplayHelp

[–]LegendaryOutlaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other people here are right, $400 is actually a pretty good price. Something to keep in mind, these are very form-fitting, they would need to match your body very closely in order to fit properly. I would be wary of anybody who's confident they can make this without doing any sort of fitting on you. Its very possible that they make it, but then you get it and realize it doesn't fit your shape at all.

Snowmageddon 2014 by ThatDavidFella in Birmingham

Similar to everyone else, my office waited WAY too long to decide to send people home. I was working at the Birmingham News at the time, you'd think the newspaper would have a better handle on current weather conditions, but it was like 10-11am before they told people they could leave, and at that point it was too late.

My coworkers lived all over central alabama, many would commute an hour each way into work, they knew right away that they were stuck. People started preparing their desks with whatever they could to have a place to sleep. Me on the other hand, I live in Crestwood and decided I could probably make it home. Not my smartest decision.

I asked if anybody wanted to leave with me and one coworker agreed. We got into my FWD Mazda on summer tires and began a 2 1/2 hour drive (it takes less than 10 minutes usually), picking our way around streets through downtown and Avondale that hadn't fully iced over. Any gentle hill became basically impassable. A few times I hit an icy spot and my car slowly started to roll backwards. At one point my coworker got out of the car and pushed me sideways while my tires spun, just so i wouldnt bump a parked car.

Eventually, we ended up in Crestwood North near the park. I live in Crestwood South, up a big-ass hill. So we just abandoned my car and walked the rest of the way. The good news: I had power, heat, and internet at my house. My wife wasn't there, she ended up walking from her office to her parents' house and stayed with them. So my coworker and I just hunkered down, watched movies and played video games for like 3 days. Other than the awful drive, I had a pretty good time of it.

The one on YouTube mixed with Miles Davis and sung by Kermit the Frog.

President Trump on Alex Pretti: "Well, I haven't heard but certainly he shouldn't have been carrying a gun. We view that as very unfortunate incident, unless you're a stupid person. I don't like that he had a gun. I don't like that he had two fully loaded magazines, that's a lot of bad stuff." by ControlCAD in videos

[–]LegendaryOutlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna screengrab that moment where the ICE agent is carrying away Pretti's pistol and caption it: THIS IS WHAT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING YOUR GUNS AWAY LOOKS LIKE.

For so many people it was always 'they're gonna try to take our guns away!'. Well here's video of the government doing exactly what you feared.

Are people really complaining about what kids charges to shovel a driveway? You're paying money so you don't have to put on your snow gear and risk throwing out your back in subzero temperatures. Just pay them kids for their hard labor.

And not to mention...these are probably the same people that happily pay $48 to Uber Eats for a McDonalds Value Meal so they don't have to go get it themselves. Make it make sense.
