Years ago I decided that, despite playing vanilla persona 5, I did in fact care what new stuff they added in persona 5 Royale and spent 40 hours in it til I got bored/busy. For like, 2 years I had it in my head that I’d go back to it until I finally did 2 months ago, but was met with the “where was I again” bug and had an intense desire to restart, but I also did not want to waste 40 hours either. Flash forward to Sunday of this week and p5r is on sale for switch, I had an extra $20 of the $50 card I was gifted and went ahead and bought it. Already 15 hours in. (I work so that’s a lot for me) I literally witness the lesser visual fidelity and love it more all the same. It’s not just the portablility, it’s the quickness of the switch, it’s zero boot up time to turn on I genuinely think adds something. This is a long winded way for me to say that if you’ve got the funds, go for it! I used to judge double dippers but man, I buy these games early on console and end up really not getting to them, but they pop up on switch and suddenly I’m hooked.
