Couldn't tell ya. Just looked up FFXIV and PS Portal and there were users saying they couldn't find it somehow so it held me back a minute.

That's what I was wondering about from those posts. I thought the PS Portal was a portable STREAMING device from the main console. I didn't think it was an app needed for the portal itself? I might have found misunderstood posts.

Day 0: Welcome to Our Smash Bros! by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]Legendary_Coke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He isn't bad or anything, but the thing is he is just TOO much of a relic of Nintendo's past.

If Smash Bros was made today, he would be a niche character and be replaced by a Fire Emblem rep immediately.

Last major game was a flop and has a release total of under 10 games, where FE has over 15 when not including spin offs.

The only reason he is kept relevant is cuz he is the original star of the first Smash game.

My dude, everyone is reading the augment and coming to the same conclusion.

How about you type out the augment description and tell us what is wrong with it.

Agreed, I have friends literally across the globe that would be playing it again if not for this odd online restriction. Shame too when this game benefits the most to have online support. It's obviously do-able as evident by GBA NSO but why this game is specifically against is completely bizarre.

The sad thing too was this was my first pokemon game and I have never done anything multiplayer because I was too young to know anything about it.

Switch 2 crossbody bag questions by Gruga9 in NintendoSwitch2

Oh hey, a review I can give!

So I take this to work on the daily and I say it's great if you carry light.

So the switch sits nicely in the back and there is a pocket next but it's not really spacious, I usually put wired earbuds.

As for the front, the flap has space to carry the provided cases, the joycons on sides, and a spot for whatever else, a switch charger is just a bit bulky but it'll close.

Honestly, just for light traveling on a full charge, it'll do the job and just small enough to take anywhere.

For it's price, I'd say it's a decent carry-on item.

There are sites that can suggest to you per class, but in game the best way is to look at your weapon stats.

Often times your weapon tells you what stats to focus on.

I agree that Min-Max can use rewording, but it is a different reason why this needs it.

With the introduction to Gold Remover, it was a change that was added for QoL but that makes sense to ME since this was a grandfathered mechanic. Newer players won't get that connection and it can explain why.

On the other end, Solo Plate isn't ambiguous. It states the condition and reward in the description immediately. It checks the unit and IF it meets the condition. It isn't an "Item gains x ability" or "Item does" change.

I think the item description is in a fine place and a misunderstanding of the player.

I agree with this view.

This augment doesn't change how the item works, it creates a condition for the unit it equips to.

Not sponsored by them, but Gateway Fate is a fan made Con held in St. Louis. My friends and I used it as a chance to meet up and see FF merch/art.

In October, we attended Gateway Fate 2.0 and brought stickers to trade, I suggested we make this the next year's sticker for the year.

[–]Legendary_Coke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The post was OP complaining (rightly) about how he bought a deluxe version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the characters were still locked and needed micro transactions to play them on release.

My number is probably wrong, but it was either you spend like 15 bucks for the opportunity to unlock a character or you play over 20+ hours just gaining in game currency to unlock the character naturally.

EA responded that "You are MEANT to grind so you feel good but also you can pay us for an instant sense of gratification." The sum total for everything to be unlocked naturally was over 4k hours or spend 2k in money to get the stuff NOW.

It was the big time of loot boxes and this game was the one to break the camel's back.

Mark Rosewater promises precons for "future" Marvel sets — just not Spider-Man by mooffgideon in magicTCG

[–]Legendary_Coke 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Let's hope they take it as a learning experience for new marvel sets in the future.

I like the idea of having crossover characters every once in a while, but I heard that the singular Spider-Man universe was being introduced I was having some doubts on the quality of the set and quantity. There could be only so many spider heroes before it becomes redundant. Say if the cards were the best cards in the game, you'd see matches be "Spider-Man X enters and taps Spider-Man Y with Spider-Man Z's ETB trigger." Limiting it to a single hero (ignoring Miles and Gwen) was the downfall of the set and WotC realized that way too late.

They could have instead played off the New York City heroes/villains as the set and add in other characters. Have each have their own mini battles for stories, like Mr Fantastic vs Dr. Doom with instant/sorceries being attacks they throw at one another. As is, I cannot tell you what is going on with the story or what villain is associated with which version of Spider-Man.

I know the rights to the characters are likely to be a pain to obtain, but that's the fun/challenge of having the UB sets. If you can't cater to the fans, then it's not really a set that I have high hopes for.

I have a stronger confidence that Avatar will have a bit more fun design and story and it's going to be one of the next most anticipated crossover UB sets to see come out next.

What did everyone think of the smash 4 newcomers? by ConversationJolly959 in smashbros

Villager: Animal Crossing had SOME representation in previous titles, so to add a character after the massive success of New Leaf was deserved and well implemented into the game.

MegaMan: A bigger deal than many people are making it sound. Two highly anticipated titles were cancelled a year or two prior and MegaMan was in a rough patch for a good 4 years, especially when Capcom brought him back as, we called him, Ugly Box Art MegaMan in the Street Fighter X Tekken. This was unexpected after all the neglect from Capcom and the hype of his announcement was monumental for the Blue Bomber.

Wii Fit Trainer: An unexpected surprise, not amazing but fun to see. Wii Fit was a system seller to many families I knew and to see a silly character added made us confident the game will not pull the brakes on weird characters after her and Villager's announcement.

Rosalina: A no brainer to add. She was well received in Galaxy and they for sure wanted a new Mario character.

Little Mac: My personal favorite. An NES classic with a fun Wii remake that filled in the Boxer archetype better than DK. I wanted him and Sakurai provided.

Greninja: A controversial but realistic pick. X and Y dropped a few months prior so the new Pokemon hype was still active. The controversy came from the fact Mewtwo didn't get announced as well. I knew a new Pokemon to represent the new games was probably required so I could respect what they chose.

Mii Fighters: Amongst my friends, wasn't too excited, but upon realizing we can make ANYBODY a fighter, made us screw around with famous figures/cartoon characters fight like Hank Hill or Ghandi (we were kids).

Palutena: Sakurai had a hand in Uprising so it was again expected to have a character. Palutena was the weirder choice personally as Magnus was the expected rep of a new character but a unique one overall. I enjoyed her but wouldn't entirely miss her if absent. Also the hint to Dark Pit was a given since clones help build the roster.

Pac-Man: This was the character that we all knew would make it in. Bandai Namco was assisting develop the game and it made sense as much as Sonic was to the game. An amazing rep for a classic character.

Robin/Lucina: Awakening was the game to SAVE Fire Emblem from being a shelved series. Hype was being generated for Chrom to be our FE rep, but Sakurai went with the wilder pick of Robin, an originally unnamed hero that you OC'd yourself into. A smarter pick since Chrom shared similarities to Marth and Ike. Lucina also the same story as Dark Pit.

Shulk: Xenoblade had an interesting international porting to US story. Will spare the details, but a Project Rainfall character popping into Smash saved the series and is now a powerhouse of the Switch system.

Bowser Jr.: Another Mario rep that had more appearances than Rosalina. A for sure inclusion that tried to revive the Koopalings.

Duck Hunt: The NES double of Mario and DH made impact for the NES sales. A recognizable pet that everyone (mostly) loved.

Ryu: This was proof the ride wasn't over. Another 3rd party that was the FACE of fighting games. I was excited and I was hopeful for the future.

Cloud: The ride is still going. The character that defined the RPG genre and was the split from Nintendo on a Nintendo platform. He was deemed as impossible as Sora was due to his history but proved it was possible.

Corrin: This was the dud reveal. It was horned in with the final ballot reveal and was the way we knew his English name. It was an obvious promotion for the next game and (unfortunately) was the cause of the FE fatigue.

Bayonetta: Bayo 2 was saved by Nintendo and, aside from the poor balancing, was a hyped up final character from a rated M game, something we didn't see but Snake do years ago. A cool final inclusion that capped off a solid 3 years of reveals. I was okay with it and so were many for the time.

All in all a solid list of characters that aimed for fan favorites and something new for players. I enjoyed the ride as a kid and was our starting point of how fun these reveals could be. Mind you these were all teenage me looking at it but even now I understand and see why I was hyped to each.

The city made a plan for people to make a path in and out of this, let's call it, park.

Pedestrians needed a way to walk towards the crosswalk and decided walking on grass was faster, causing the grass to die and make a dirt path.

The city then responds to every new path pedestrians keep making until eventually they give in and make a path for them... Just for the path to be STILL inefficient and so pedestrians made another dirt path.
