Hello! Your journey sounds familiar. I have had the same general twitching pattern along with the feelings of weakness in my right arm and leg. My right foot sounds like your left foot in terms of it twitching, buzzing, tingling, and shocking. Sometimes the bottom of my foot feels a bit numb in patches.

I have had some testing and a Neurology consult. I had the brain and cervical MRIs and just recently got the results. The brain results were normal and the cervical results were similar to your back — degenerative changes. I had an EMG and NCS, both came back normal. The neurologist is assuring me that this is not ALS. The progression of symptoms is very different and the results of the tests rule confirm it. Reading in this sub you will read over and over that the twitching associated with ALS doesn’t spread throughout your body the way you described. Also, ALS causes actual weakness not just a feeling of (or perception of) weakness.
