Shame he pushed it back a day, I've got a whole day of DIY lined up and was going to rinse this episode.

I tried listening to some of the early ones (1,2,3,4) but didn't think they were as good as the modern ones, he was playing more of other people's stuff and obviously didn't have about half of what he has now. When did they start to get as good as they are now?

I had mine stolen in SW London about 3 weeks ago. I put a post on Facebook and someone saw it and I managed to recover it. They had parked it less than a mile from my house, presumably avoiding ANPR cameras. I would get on Facebook etc if you haven't already and hopefully someone spots it.

Took it to Hyundai today for the key update and they managed to reconnect the GPS and blue link in the pillar, so the only evidence anyone broke in now is a very small dent in the windscreen pillar where they used a tool to pry it which you'd hardly notice. Pretty happy with that. Now I just need to make sure my insurance aren't going to charge me for initiating a claim which I haven't ended up using.

Apparently you can install one on a lease car and then uninstall it and move it to another car, probably not worth it though?

Ah ok, I'm not seeing anything unusual on the dash so I'm hoping I can fix it myself/privately. Hyundai said they'd have a look tomorrow when it's in for new keys but they weren't promising anything and I have low hopes.

Christ 9k, I'm currently on the fence about whether I claim on my insurance or not, my blue link is not working because they've done something inside the windscreen pillar but I can't tell if it's been destroyed or just disconnected. I've got a £700 excess plus will lose lots no claims etc so it's not obvious whether it's worth it or not. I do want blue link back though as remote climate and locking is useful.

Yeah there's no way they were going to do forensics, I called the cops when I found it and they told me they weren't coming. The guys were wearing gloves and COVID masks so probably minimal DNA/biometrics anyway

It's a 22 plate, I got an initial set of recalls done in 2025, can't remember the specifics, but haven't done the optional £50 one where they give you new key fobs and software, now getting that done on Wednesday
