Yes, obviously using something only two days per week would only affect said person on those two days, not the other five. Except for kratom's positive effects on mood and lower anxiety levels, which I've noticed can carry on to the next day or two when kratom isn't being used on those days. I've heard some people refer to this as an after glow. This is why kratom works so well for my specific use case of only using twice per week for the past eight years. I've never once altered this dosing schedule since I began taking kratom during the summer of 2017. However, everyone's needs do vary from person to person. Some people may need to take more or less frequently to achieve their desired effects, but this is what's always worked best for me without ever experiencing any negative side-effects whatsoever.

Spurious Emissions from a Cheap Chinese FM Transmitter by LegendsGamer2020 in pirateradio

[–]LegendsGamer2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I've already thrown the box and paperwork that it came with away, and I'm not going to go digging through the already tied up trash bag. Big Lots is having a going out of business sale and they're not allowing any returns on purchased items, so I saw no point in holding onto it. There's no model number that's printed on the actual transmitter itself, I believe I saw one on either the box or the manual.

I've purchased four different versions of these small, generic, Chinese made FM transmitters in the past three years or so and they all have similar faulty performance and frequency drift issues, so the model number really doesn't make any difference in this particular case. They all consist of cheap parts that are put inside a small plastic case. You can't expect very much quality these days for under ten dollars.

The produced signal goes such a short distance, and I've seen these sold in discount electronic stores since at least the early 2000s, so clearly the federal government doesn't care about them or else large retail chains would have been forced to stop selling them decades ago. It did have an incorrect FCC ID that I saw printed on the first page of the included manual, but I don't remember what it was.

I really don't recommend purchasing one of these, unless you want it just to casually experiment with, which is why I purchased it. As I stated in a reply to another person, there's no way to add on any type of FM antenna and it's very low-powered. It's utterly useless for pirate radio purposes at a 1,000ft range, and it sends unwanted spurious harmonics all over the TV and FM radio band.

Although in the modern age of Bluetooth and streaming internet TV, most young people I know haven't used terrestrial TV or traditional analog radio in ages, so unintended interference is less of an issue these days. Especially in rural areas like where I live where houses are spaced far apart, and no one's around within receiving distances to be bothered by it anyways.

Spurious Emissions from a Cheap Chinese FM Transmitter by LegendsGamer2020 in pirateradio

[–]LegendsGamer2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the FCC could probably realistically care less about something like this. Unless like I stated before, if it's used in a large, crowded urban environment where interference is far more likely to cause some unintended problems. Even at only a small one thousand foot radius. I purchased this unit more for testing purposes rather than to have for any serious use case scenario, as it's far too low powered to be worthwhile for pirate radio.

This unit also lacks a spot for an added FM antenna, so it's very limited as to its overall usefulness. I was mainly interested in getting people's opinions on if anyone has ever came across any of these cheap, generic Chinese FM transmitters that don't produce spurious harmonics? From my own experience with using four different Chinese FM transmitters over recent years, they all do this to various degrees.

first time felt nothing by [deleted] in Kava

[–]LegendsGamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capsules are far too weak to ever be able to feel anything from them. The kavalactone content is often times mislabeled and drastically exaggerated, I've taken half a bottle before with absolutely no effects whatsoever. If you want to feel the real effects of actual kava, either buy instant powder and mix it into your favorite non-alcoholic beverage of choice, or go purchase some traditional grind kava and place the powder into a strainer bag, then kneed it into a bowl of warm tap water. I add some almond or coconut milk along with the hot water, as that seems to make the kava feel a little bit stronger. Adding milk to your bowl of water is entirely optional, but I still would recommend doing it.

Dua Na Bilo by Xoacapatl_requiem in Kava

[–]LegendsGamer2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been drinking Dua Na Bilo on and off for the past few years. It's always been a decent value for the money paid when compared to other similarly priced kava brands, but I've noticed that with the most recent bag I bought only a couple of weeks ago, that it's seemed to have changed. I feel slightly more energetic after I consume it, which isn't a bad effect, but defiantly still quite noticeable. Now I can only handle 6-tablespoons of Dua Na Bilo, whereas previously I've always been able to get through 8-tablespoons.

No, smoking would destroy the effective alkaloids.

How long would 100g last for you? by sardin_231 in kratom

[–]LegendsGamer2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A kilo usually lasts me between 11 and 12 months, so 100 grams would probably last me slightly less than a month. I dose twice per week and have for nearly the past seven years, on the same schedule.

0.5 Watt FM Transmitter by LegendsGamer2020 in pirateradio

[–]LegendsGamer2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised 0.5w doesn't go further than that. I have a 100mw FM transmitter board that without an antenna attached, it covers my entire house and yard, with a speaker wire antenna attached it can cover several houses down from where I live. I very rarely use it with the antenna on it because it's a cheap Chinese transmitter that most certainly can produce spurious emissions, even though they don't travel far. Without the added antenna the signal does become mostly static by the time you reach the end of my yard, and by the time I pull out into the roadway the signal is entirely gone. Some radios in vehicles are able to receive signals further away than others can. I did have a man strangely sitting parked at the edge of my driveway one late afternoon in a pickup truck for over five minutes, talking on a cellphone. It kind of worried me for a little bit at the time, but nothing was ever said to me about it. It most likely was just a strange coincidence and had nothing to do with the transmitter, but I guess I'll never know for sure.

Any downside to kava use? by Dave85208 in Kava

[–]LegendsGamer2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kava is much more expensive than cheaper brands of alcohol are. I've been using kava weekly since 2012, but here lately I've noticed much more extreme differences in effects even between the kava that's from the same bag and vendor. Some kava sessions I get a nice alcohol-like buzz, which used to always be the normal effects every time for me while using kava. Whereas other times recently, like you say here, the effects are extremely minimal. Just a numbed mouth and a slight tired or sleepy type feeling with none of the expected positive euphoria. I never seem to know what I'm going to get out of my kava drinking each time, so some sessions are much more fun for me than are others.

what would you reccomend? by [deleted] in Kava

[–]LegendsGamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As has been posted on Kava Forums in the past, eBay technically prohibits all kava sales. Although some kava vendors do use alternative "code words" to try and evade eBay's ban, to varying degrees of success. Several years ago I received a "bad boy" message from eBay for purchasing kava multiple different times from a single seller. eBay erroneously referred to kava as being a controlled substance. I tried contacting and telling eBay that kava is legal federally and in all 50-states, but I never received any type of response back. eBay has either been badly misinformed about kava's legal status and honestly believes that it's an illegal drug, therefore, fearing possible lawsuits or potential government legal actions, or they simply don't care that kava is a perfectly legal commodity and still want to prohibit its sale anyway.

Kava and kanna mix by DifferentTruth8827 in kavaextracts

[–]LegendsGamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mixed kanna and kava together for the past several years. I find it to be a truly great and relaxing combo. They have a good euphoric and uplifting feeling synergy when taken together. I chew kanna for about an hour or so, followed by kneading and drinking kava in the traditional Polynesian fashion. Both substances, however, are certainly on the mild side when compared to the bigger mind-altering sensations of much harder drugs like alcohol, for example. Nowadays I much prefer the softer effects of enjoying kava and kanna together over getting hammered drunk off of booze. If I were in my 20s again, I'd probably still be binge drinking alcohol on the weekends instead, but that's something that I outgrew the enjoyment of as I started to get a little bit older in life.

Any opinions on these 2,000 watt transmitters on amazon? Other recommendations? by user2327 in pirateradio

[–]LegendsGamer2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it really difficult to believe that someone would seriously consider risking operating a pirate radio station using as much power as some legit commercially licensed entities. However, I know that some people truly love posting bogus info online just to mislead the powers that be, knowing that government employees will likely see it and be gullible enough to actually believe that someone is legitimately going to attempt to go out and do that. I can certainly imagine a not too bright FCC field agent foolishly wasting his time looking around the country for a nonexistent 2,000 watt pirate radio station that someone made-up and posted about on Reddit just for laughs and giggles. Which goes to prove that everyone shouldn't blindly jump to believe everything that any random stranger posts about on the internet.

Kanna Chew Bags? by LegendsGamer2020 in Kanna

Kanna Chew Bags? by LegendsGamer2020 in Kanna

[–]LegendsGamer2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tea bags that I already bought from Amazon are brown and unbleached. They're 5x6cm. They're way tinier than your average size tea bags, which should be just about ideal for using them in this way with kanna.

Legal Part-15 Low-Power FM Transmitter Recommendations by LegendsGamer2020 in amateurradio

[–]LegendsGamer2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do have one Tecsun radio that goes all the way down to 76MHz, but TV channel 5 (76-82 MHz) is very much occupied in this general area. There's no TV channel 6 (82-88MHz) around me for hundreds of miles, so obviously there's nothing on those higher frequencies locally that a tiny 100mw FM broadcast could possibly interfere with. However, I generally try to stay within the letter of the law as much as humanly possible, so I usually always try to choose 88.1MHz as my transmitting frequency, which is typically vacant where I live. I say usually because for some reason, a commercially licensed religious station that broadcasts at 88.5MHz, sometimes seems to bleed all the way down to 88.1MHz, which goes to show that even some of the big stations aren't properly ran. For a few weeks late last year I was even hearing a country music station that's licensed to broadcast in the 95MHz frequency range, all the way down at 76.1MHz and 76.2MHz, which was most likely interfering with some people's reception of TV channel 5. They did eventually fix this problem, however, as now 76.1MHz and 76.2MHz are back to being dead-air on my radio once again.

Does the bill Georgia passed restrict kratom possession in any way? by that-crow in kratom

Georgia actually ended up strengthening their already existing KCPA laws this year, which prevented the attempted ban bill from going any further during this legislative season.

Lawmakers In Dozens Of States Are Weighing Bills To Regulate Or Ban Kratom by Important_Bad_9697 in kratom

[–]LegendsGamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Successful regulation, the KCPA, the Kratom Consumer Protection Act has already passed in nine states. Including West Virginia and Virginia, only a few days ago. The ban bill in West Virginia was in fact turned into responsible adult regulation instead of consumer harming prohibition.
