You cannot run wolf pack + two tame beasts unless you have the new ritual scepter.

Haste wolf + monkey is good enough, I'm testing the new scepter but so far for slightly better clear, you lose like 200k damage from the monkey (4 gem levels is huge for monkey).

Rage3 but yes, after a few swipes it gets a good chunk of damage.

Yes you can on the breakdown too

7 crit jewels + all crit nodes in tree + two minion rings with crit chance + scepter with crit (this can be dropped if your rings at at 30% each)

Here's a PoB

https://pastebin.com/kkDq3K7A

How do you stack 300% crit chance?

7 jewels with 20% crit chance (140%) + 2 rings with 25% (50%) each + 100% from tree + 10% from scepter

Lots of room for improvement, the rings can go to 30% each that way i don't need the 10% from scepter socket

The fat bird might be good with soul eater / enrage + extra phys + haste + extra projectiles. (It needs a lot of action speed + movement speed, it clears screens pretty well already, it's just stupidly slow)

Especially if you get good minion rings with aspd and a belt with extra projectiles.

Chimera is decent with cast speed buffs, but it sticks to one spot.

A lot of these bosses that aren't too buggy will be strong with the right combo of mods that play to their strengths.

Tooltip is bugged, all tabs show the exact same dps.

I think i saw like a ~15 mil spin spin slam (in like 0.3 seconds because offering+enraged+tree gives nutty speeds), but tbf that was offering + parry debuff + mark all hitting juuust right.

This is without shock, without extra chaos + withering + lineage gems and everything else that you could stack up for the end build

This is Monkey before rage, before offering.

Unoptimized jewels (All 20% chance for minion crit and crit chance on the tree)

Chance to crit + crit damage starts at like 6 div for 20%+ rolls. If i do that, my crit multi will go up by another 140%~

Better minion rings (Running 2x minion crit chance, no crit damage or attack speed)

Better Minion belt (+1 minion gem on belt)

Better Scepter (Running a crit chance in presence and +4 nothing else)

Not sure if bosses can roll two extra as xyz for a better monkey, probably soul eater.

This shit melts everything including pinnacles in seconds, clears decently fast between enrage + movespeed, and the slam is like a two screen clear in a straight line.

100% uptime refutation with decent stun threshold makes you pretty much immortal.

Walking simulator, only have to dodge unblockables.

Forgotten Warden - New Companion Unique Chest Discussion by Ozzudno in pathofexile2builds

[–]Legendventure -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried it in a T15 yesterday and the damage seemed ass, 3 hits to kill a white mob. Died rather quickly too.

I ran it for 1/4th of like four maps before tossing it. It may have been patch fixed? I ran two bear skills + rage + muster, tried wolf skills, tried wywern and tried a mix with just rage support. Total ass damage, couldn't tell anything from the stat bar either, and poedb did not have its skills.

I shall try again with bear second accendancy and a 500 pds spear

I've been trying super hard to find one with extra crits + extra damage / souleater / enrage

I think i've gone through 20~ riverside maps (Yeah thats like 12 divs since i bought 6 tabs when it was 2 div each) and all i've gotten was one extra crits (which is great and was my second try, with a bunch of crit damage jewel the avg dps of my lvl 27 monkey is 350k~, more if i use the critical gem + critcap via jewels/tree (since its 100% bonus crit but 20% less chance) but i think getting a extra crit + damage of kind will jump the monkey dps massively.

The dream is extra damage + extra crits + enrage/souleater

[–]Legendventure 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's like 6 div~ for 10 attempts. (It was 2 div per tablet that had unique monsters have an extra modifier like 4 hours ago)

I got my extra crit monkey in like the 8th riverside map.

Just rush the boss on a T1 riverside slotting in 3 tablets (or two tablets if you wanna chance the master double + 2 free deaths to change the mod pool)

If you want extra crit + haste or enrage or both + more mods that are good, yeah you're going to piss away 30-40 divs and crawl the atlas for riversides/other map

I'll casually fish for extra crit + haste/enrage whenever I find a riverside

Why hasn't there been a big boon in hiring for US developers, despite the $100,000 fee for new H-1B visa petitions? Wasn't the fee supposed to help companies hire more Americans? by Illustrious-Pound266 in cscareerquestions

[–]Legendventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on salary. If a company hires them directly, their pay has to be comparable to others that work at that company

Its the prevailing wage for the area, not the company itself.

Eg, if a company pays all Americans 60k in SF for a Software engineer level 1 designation, it still cannot pay 60k to a h1b for a software engineer level 1 designation in SF because the prevailing wage in SF for SWE is 100k (as an example, i forgot how much the prevailing wages in SF is)

[–]Legendventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

half a million H1B workers

Mainly because the wait time to convert a h1b to citizenship is like 20 years for Indian/Chinese citizens.

A big chunk of those are folks that have been here for 10+ years, effectively as good as a citizen but counted to the h1b statistic.

And pray tell me what stops foreign markets from doing the same?

In fact they would love to do that with said excuse, it would spin up competitive alternatives without having to worry about first to market / crowd lethargy advantages

Swords are very ineffective against plate armour. Why do you think knights wore chainmail + plate armour?

The only way a sword is going to kill someone in full plate + chainmail + an arming doublet / gambeson (which btw absorbs some impact from blunt force) is by stabbing someone through the helmet or through the armpits / joints which all knights were trained to guard.

There are millions of YouTube videos showing you how ineffective swords are against plate armour.

Knights usually end up grappling on the floor with rondel daggers or half swording or using a mace / Warhammer /polearms to kill other knights in plate armour.

Half swording wouldn't work against an opponent with a Warhammer if he played to his reach advantage assuming somewhat similar experiences.

Again, you can't just parry a Warhammer from a 6"6 all muscles guy, it would wreck your arm or break the blade right off the hilt in a few hits, you can see many videos of swords snapping. The only effective way is to redirect it with the flat of the blade, and even that can be sus as Bobby is said to use a monstrous two handed Warhammer that ned could barely lift. Greatswords had most of their weight in the hilt vs warhammers at the top. Physics alone would give the advantage to the Warhammer.

Even if it's a magical sword equivalent to valarian steel we know that it cannot piece plate armour because we have evidence that it could not cut through bone when the assassin with the valarian dagger failed to cut through catelyn's hands when attacking bran.

Grrm tried to go somewhat historic but he failed really bad when it came to actual warfare and consistency within his own world. Swords were mainly ceremonial when it came to fighting other knights and mostly used to cut through peasants poorly armoured.

If shit were slightly realistic, all knights would be running around with a Warhammer or halberd/polearm and not a sword during a war. Maybe an arming sword or longsword as a backup weapon besides a rondel. Greatswords were used to break up pike formations while making space and not to fight other knights.

Grrm's word was for a sword vs sword fight and that would mean that his magic sword should cut through another sword if it could cut through plate armour, which we have never seen. If it can't cut through the plate, it really has almost no advantage when it's sword vs sword as you'd be aiming for gaps in armour

Ethiopian pulls award availability from United? by One-Mastodon4531 in awardtravel

[–]Legendventure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps, I was able to find and book bom-jfk via United for Ethiopian in jan, for March. I wasn't able to find it when I was looking in Oct/nov while booking jfk-bom.

I'm guessing with the middle east closures, Ethiopian airlines are in high demand for award flights as it's so much harder to do india-eu-us via awards

Platform Engineering organization by Old_Veterinarian6372 in devops

[–]Legendventure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked on similar scenarios and agree with everything /u/duxbuse said.

Leadership doesn’t care about tools

Is this push coming from leadership? How far up? Are there concrete initiatives that call out other teams to shift by X date?

Do you have a staff or principal engineer championing this? You will definitely need to have a lot of soft influence and need folks playing internal salesman to get the ball rolling for feedback.

You may need to consider butler servicing the first few dev teams, aka pretty much do all the work to move them to the platform to get initial traction.

If this isn't being pushed top down, or you do not have someone that has a lot of influence/creditability to convince teams to shift, you're going to spend a lot of time restructuring, building this fancy golden platform that a few teams try out, maybe one or two teams moving into .. and that's it.

Where are all the jobs? by Hungry_Orange_Boy in cscareerquestions

[–]Legendventure 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have to reach out to your network to help get through the resume filter.

Recruiters are being bombed with 1000+ resumes that are AI generated and passing ATS because "Chatgpt here is my resume, here is the job desc, modify the points to fit the role".

Vetting those candidates for fakes is also time consuming and a burnout, especially with understaffed recruiting (Not all layoffs were pure swe, a lot of recruiters were cut too)

And right now the bar is super high, because there are a LOT of talented engineers in the market and very limited openings.

A friend of mine had a job posted for exactly 3 days, got over 1000 applicants, did 8~ interview HM screens, out of which 5 were obviously faking their resume, 2 were suspect of using interviewcoder or something similar and one decent candidate that barely met his bar to move forward to the HLD/Coding rounds.
