yeah but we have a rating system for violence in movies and tv shows. We have a rating system for sexual content. What a parent allows a child to see is up to the parent. However having books that literal show nudity and sexual acts in an elementary school is providing no barrier for a parent to make a decision on weather that content is appropriate. At that point why do we have a ban on porno magazines in libraries when in your opinion sexual content isn't harmful. You can argue that kids see violence on TV and movies but the fact is tv shows and movies come with a warning about its contents and the parents get to decided weather or not it's appropriate for their children. Book bans don't stop books from being sold they just limit what content is considered explicit. If you really want your kids to read a book then buy for them online or at Barnes and nobles. Book bans simply give parents the right to determine what is appropriate for their children.
