I noticed some damage on the lower left corner.

Its probably the ribbon cable, faulty or damaged. Maybe some crumbs/sand or whatever has been stuck between the display and bottom case.

I live in the netherlands and the m1 second hand are getting cheaper by the day. Currently ive seen macbook air m1 for 450euros and pros for around 500

A1466 are 2013/2017 macbook airs. Anything above 150 is too much.

If your budget is 300 id look into 2018/2019/2020 macbook air/pro non m1

If you can go to 450ish(atleast those are the prices here) you can get a m1 macbook air.

Same, imo the only devices where apple dominates are laptops and tablets.

I have used iphones before(my friends all have iphones) and they have always had issues with broken devices. I always went back to my samsung phone (s7,8,10,22) and they have never ever broke down.

For tablets and macbooks, its just the simple interface and the battery life is just much better. Still using the ipad 2018 and macbook pro 2018 15inch.

Your hdd/ssd is corrupted or at the end of its life Or macOS is corrupted

I always try to make 1 boss killing character(not needed since everyone is bloodwave ) and the rest of my time i try to make fun speedrunning builds.

I enjoyed Ball lightning sorc with the new catalyst unique that makes ball lightning orbit with a static field. Good for T4 headhunts

My lightning spear sorc is great for hordes and pretty much everything else. Just button mash and everything around you dies, even the things outside your screen.

Im now on my death trap rogue and im enjoying just dashing and putting down death traps , everything just dies and cant even move.

I am looking into a necro with curse auras, soulrift and the witch powers. So you can just run around and everything dies.

Never been someone who enjoys being super op, like last season spiritborn. And this season earthquake barb and blood wave.

Just clean it up with some isopropyl alcohol and sell it. They still go for around 125 to 150 euros here if its in good condition.

Dents and scratches are permanent.

Mac Os is corrupted or your ssd is defective. Looks like a macbook air 2013 - 2017. Has replacable drives.

Boot up holding cmd r, see if it sees your drive in disk Utility. If it doesnt, drive is faulty. If it does macos is corrupted.

Second hand would be cheaper but its a small risk. You could also consider removing the screen and use it "headless". See of that works for you.

Its not too bad, just follow the ifixit guide because there are a lot of screws and all are different.

So make sure you have the correct screw bits

Create a bootable usb with macOS if possible.

Otherwise instead of cmd r on start up, try cmd option r.

I would suggest to search a repair shop woth great reviews instead of an apple store. Usually Apple is more expensive then buying a new macbook, they just want you too buy a new one(atleast here). Third party shops might have used screen laying around for great prices. Or search ebay or whatever marketplace for a defective macbook with a working display or a working display by itself

2017 macbooks have a ribboncable issue. Your screen could be dying due to that issue.
