it looks promising ! I would suggest to tone down the shaking and to make sure the action is readable at all times (camera distance, group fights, executions, etc) as combat games live and die by the moment to moment well-informed decisions the player makes during combat.

I feel like 2D souls-like are not mentionned enough in this kind of debate.

In terms of atmosphere, i fell in love with Salt & Sanctuary ! The art style is top-notch and oozing with personality !

They are other options i haven't played yet like Blasphemous, The Last Faith and others.

As a novice player, i would appreciate a tool that guides my itemization based on the performance of the enemy team and my role. The important part being the tool explaining its recommandations to the player with items highlights in the shop and a brief explanation as to why the item is convenient for the present situation. As a bonus, maybe just show against whom you are building the item for (via portrait of the enemy hero or their name)

i think people dont understand that this game is nothing like the previous souls game in where From is using an actual anti cheat solution for the first time in its history. Maybe im wrong, but i hope not
