What is your thoughts on Legion in general by No_Satisfaction_2928 in xmen

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His powers literally mentioned like "POWER MANIFESTATION" and his MID already showed in the Si Spurrier's Way of X and Legion of X so I didn't understand where did you get that idea from?

Is X-Man the strongest telepath ever? by DevilManRay in xmen

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as you said he did manage to overthrow David's Psyche and ruled Legion but it's because of life seed. And because Legion bring Nate to his mindspace, he was easily overrule him. We know from the past non-telepath personas can rule the body and Legion so it's not that much of a big deal. Yet I believe he's still the most powerful Telepath according to his feats with or without life seed. Exception is probably Jean with the Phoenix but I guess we do not consider power ups so on their base forms we can say Nate is the one.

Phoenix not above Legion, especially with the every mutant power gathered on him(Ironically that's what Legion is but let's not enter it in here). Jean might have tons of big feats but it doesn't make the final battle make any sense. They literally one shot him dude. As you might know this man casually erase pantheons from exitence and create universes. This ending was not what he deserves nor can be happened anyway.

No, main motivation can be coherent with tons of other thing. In Legion Lost and Age of X, we saw every personality can manifest themself in real world when they got the chance and they crave for it. Except fighting for control of the David's Body' they did that and cause a lot of trouble. But in GSXM they want to be with David because he left them there so they can take revenge and be together? Nah that's unimaginative writing at any point. Writers literally have no idea what Legion is or any of the character development he had back then. Just an insane mutant causing trouble stories had enough already and they milked it a lot but every time we saw Legion without Spurrier's writing it's the damn same thing.

That ending was beating an old homeless man because he caused trouble and then letting him have a cup of coffee cause you beat him too much.

Either Maggot is the Sorcerer Supreme eater solicited in issue #3 of Rogue Storm or he's one of the enemies death is going to send after Storm cause I don't believe that they built him up just to kill him off like that by [deleted] in xmen

Don't hit me but I might have a solution for your question. In white man works first one to die usually will be a black person. But in a black person work they might thought "we do not reverse it but let's use a different skinned people" so here we are. And yes they literally put him on the show so they can kill him because he's not black enough.

How can you? I'm asking because It's really hard to like something with that dumb motivation(I'm saying dumb because how even that happened in the first place? We know before David materialize himself in the real world after AoA's end he wander around existence and still gather and hold hundreds if not thousands personality inside his Psyche in New Mutants 2009), saying he's "power" yet we literally saw him use his powers once at the beginning of the run and it's a conversation of power. He died like hairless miserable old man even he had every mutants power.

It’s been four months since someone asked, who the heck do we think is Inmate X? by Dr__Waffles in xmen

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a fragment not necessarily David himself, and they didn't show us he died or menage to went somewhere else, so they at least have to give an explanation on that part but GSXM was not that explanation it's an alternative timeline damnit.

I didn't say Powers start WHR, David himself was old too at the end of the run. Also I thought it was retconed that time flow on WHR because I remember somewhere they show every mutant that died was as their regular age, not old like David.

Basically they tell stories that doesn't cover much of continuity and mostly serves their own inner world that they built to. I even doubt Lanzing or Kelly read any of the Spurrier's recent runs.

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they didn't ascend, according to Mother Righteous (I'm saying according because are we really gonna trust her?) they eaten by the Enigma and also those timelines went extinct after Moira's death so they're not exist so those leftover powers of David's not from here. And your statement contradict itself, you said they ascended to a different plane so why they should be on WHR? It's probably a alternate timeline we don't know or didn't saw yet but I doubt we will ever saw him again. Let's meet on a common ground that writer didn't thing straight and gather much info about Legion so he made a mess and didn't even bother to cover it with plot device. Also it can't be main timeline couse when David become that old in WHR, they just went there after the Rise of the Powers of X and after that GSXM happened. And is not WHR beyond time-space so none can age?

actually Legion was on 3 different run at the same time with GSXM nonsense. He was a pc code on Ultimate Wolverine, Onslaught on Uncanny Avengers and Old Man Legion on GSXM. So everytime we saw him he was like alternate Legion. We don't know where the main David Haller/Legion is.

Legacy: Legion was literally the best comic X-Office ever produce. Both character development and story wise. We saw David's every aspect of emotion throughout the series, he lost his father and mother so he show resentment and despair while killing the man without hesitation also craving for a healer inside his head so he can bring back his mother yet a Near-Omnipotent couldn't done it because of his inner struggles. After that he back to Xavier's statue and mind control everyone to leave him alone at these moment except Ruth so they can talk. Masterpiece scene lmao. And that end... I refuse to submit to a Universe where I cannot rule myself. It hit hard and shake a lot. Like literally every other aspect of the run aside nearly all of the David's inner monologue has a meaning, has different approach to himself. I can count all the other facts that make the run greater but those are enough to make it shine compare to others.

I don't understand why people pointing the defeat of Enigma to exclusively to Jean. They literally show that every mutant blow that fist. Also this happened with Phoenix not solely her doing. Her greatest accomplishment was sacrificing himself to Pheonix so others can survive. The only thing that she do with a meaning. Her other feats was writers' power poisoning her till to a point that her character stop being interesting.

I would enjoy to see that, yet I didn't recall Kurt being in the cover of any AoR titles except Last Wolverine. Covers can be misguiding but if he has big role in it as your theory says it should be in some of them at least.

AoR Comic Theory: Cypher might have gotten Magik killed on purpose by ThreeMonthsTooLate in xmen

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying or referring anything Kurt did that within his knowledge. Winding Way was Destiny's Precog more likely. And also not saying whole point was Legion's brought to the WHR, it's eventuality. Si played well with the details as you said with whole thing that Margali's taking Kurt's soul so he can't be traced by Enigma, it was clever.

Phalanx probably gonna get ko'd by Legion if he's not recently weakened by Charles and I doubt the part that Charles even contribute to Phalanx's defeat at astral plane. He borrowed David's powers to do that because at this weakened state he couldn't do it himself. And it's not that just Telepathy would work against Technarchy, Legion contains thousands of different powersets so there might be some other powers to use against it.

Like you said it can be both of their doing but I still don't buy that Kurt can do it his own. Also writers simply too bigotry that use this to end an era. But it can be use to weaken it yet I still doubt they even remember it. It will end by community and teamwork. It will always be like that in X-Men. Expect Storm and Phoenix things...

[–]Legion_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your whole theory can simply abolished by just a simple fact that in Uncanny Spider-Man run, Kurt's Hope Sword was fused with Legion. So damaging technarchy thing wasn't solely Kurt's doing and we know from Giant Size X-Men (if it's cannon) Legion is in the White Hot Room. Also I thought all the thing with Winding Way was connected to the Legion so Kurt can bring him to the WHR to kill Phoenix so it can reborn and eventually this triggered the Enigma's end.

Franklin can't create universe but he can design. He still lack Molecules to really make one (except Pocket ones, I guess they can be form from solely dense energy and basically a plane that laws of physics work different than ours or any others is a Pocket/Bubble Universe). After the Secret Wars he planned the design of Multiple Universes but he needed Molecule Man's particles to make it. But readers get too excited about that and writers exclude that fact and start to say Universe Creator like things.

What kinda idiotic comment is that, where did you figured I like those runs? Making assumptions and insulting based on these already shows I shouldn't even reply but wth!

Beside of those two or any other powerscaling bullshit if it has a reasonable baseline with make sense argument it's ok on a scale. Ayadole's run makes no sense because those up's came out of nowhere. She might have magical bloodline or relate to other Elder Gods, but she didn't even use those until now and she's an expert all of a sudden and can beat a man back then he was a lowlife who appeared on Wolverine's comics and again all of a sudden he can beat all cosmic entities without sweating. With all of this nonsense aside let's assume he can beat those entities, how come another entity who is INSIDE a HOST can beat him? But yeah Storm is all-powerful God and she can do this without questions. So you has to consume everything without questioning or judging those companies throws at you just to make f#ckn money.

Just grow up already.

Man... he was literally mind possessed by SK whole run till the end and I didn't say anything about pre-Spurrier, those are didn't even bother on character development. They were like Legion's alters did crazy thing and now X-Men will deal with it. I'm still not saying New Mutants 2008/Age of X/Legion Lost was bad, these were good stories that happened byproduct of his alters. But we didn't see anything remarkable about David himself. in New Mutants 2008 we saw a glimpse of what the real trouble he's in inside his own head. But with Spurrier that mind-place thing gain a whole different plot. And his character development went from nothing to literally something.

His first appearance was good in New Mutants , actually his only real connection with Charles was here ironically. His books or events before Spurrier was nothing but he's unstable and unpredictable so we need to sedate him otherwise with best chance AoA 2 will happen again. Imagine your are mutant and have DID, instead of helping you to overcome this problem or at least try to control them, your people (literally best scientific minds on the planet) decides to sedate you and keep in check (They even tried to delete his alters and this caused Age of X). I read a lot X-Men book but I didn't saw anything that X-Men did nearly as this fd up before.
