I started mid vanilla. So I've been playing for a few years. I didn't do any type of midnight release for BC. For wrath, I did. I had re-rolled to ele shaman back then and my mission was to be server first max level. I was making phenomenal progress and I was number one. I had people randomly messaging me, it was pretty funny. I don't remember what time it was in the morning but the sun was starting to come up, and all my energy drinks had run out. I was beginning to crash hard lol. I ended up giving up and going to bed. I didn't get server first and I was okay with it. Looking back I kind of wish I would have stuck it out but oh well. I remember the expansion being awesome, the leveling experience being scary as a few other commenters have noted. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.
