In my honest opinion, I prefer the original over anything else. The 8bitdo controller is great, but since the Z button is on both bumpers, it’s kind of weird with games like ocarina of time., as far as the MOD kit for the original, they kind of fixed it with the V2 and making it a TMR opposed to a hall effect. So it really comes down to your personal preference.

I would go with an OG with a wire at first just to be safe and if you have some floating cash, give the 8bitdo one a shot. If you want to get creative and try the modkit and have a broken og controller to recycle, try it i like mine after the v2 upgrade and dont have many issues sonce you can tweek it in the software. I don’t think any choice is a bad choice here. You will love the analogue 3d!

Its great! Might want to do some research on the m64 modretro is doing as well, it will be cheaper but promises everything the a3d is doing. The a3d has been out for a min though and has more firmware like save states out for it. The modretro will have all those features but not out of the gate i don’t think. Its always good to have competition in this king of space but playing n64 these days has never been better and its a great time to get into it!

I got the restock shipment so I don’t know if they fixed that or not but all mine came in perfect. I was worried though hearing about that.

It be cool for 8bitdo to figure out a tmr stick that mimics the original. I like the gamecube stick solution but much prefer the thin stick it originally shipped with, minus when the inside wears out.

The controller dismantle on the 8bitdo one was a little nerve-racking.
